“Great Location”

This is one of the better Hotels in Key West and I really love the location. It is at the quiet end of Duval Street so you can have your fun and then come back for some rest and relaxation.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but not extravagant.

This is the one of the only hotels that has it's own private oceanfront beach and we took advantage of the on site water sports which involved a jet ski around the island. I highly recommend this if you have good weather.

I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Key West!

“Nice Place to Stay in Touristy Key West”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

The Reach is on the southern end of Key West, a short block off of Duval. The hotel is moden, clean and nice. Room selection is a bit tricky; the old "ocean view" rooms range from great views to crane your neck and do some contortions to see the top of a boat going by. Not sure how you defend yourself against it. We were able to change rooms after a day and were very happy. The rooms were very nice (except toilet seat in our first room on egg shaped toilet was round, which was quite disconcerting for one of us :-)). All the staff we dealt with were GREAT. Very friendly and willing to please. This hotel has a beach, which we understand is unusual for Key West. It also has a lovely UNheated pool and no hot tub (which was a surprise). Parking is underground and if you do it right, you can park pretty close to your room, even though this is NOT a motel. Overall, we would return. After walking Duval four times, we really didn't see any places as nice or as well located.

Room Tip: Check out your room before bringing up the luggage. Ask how full they are and if you don't get...

“Can't imagine a better place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I can't imagine a better place to stay in Key West -- our stay could not have been better. I wish I were still there! This is a very classy hotel at the quiet end of Duval Street. The beach is certainly the best my wife and I saw on the island. We loved the pier/gazebo and the waterfront dining area, from which we watched diving pelicans every morning. The staff was superb; Paul and Yanni were standouts, but everyone was nice. By the way, I visited the Casa Marina hotel for a few minutes, having read so many reviews contrasting the two properties. The buildings were huge; it seemed like a much larger establishment. The Casa Marina beach was ugly -- brown and full of clay ledges. Instead of green grass and white sand at The Reach, Casa Marina had brown sand everywhere, including a huge volleyball court that dominated the scene. And it was all torn up by ATV tracks.

Room Tip: Our Courtyard Suite room had a view of the ocean as well as the beautiful and tidy courtyard.

You are exactly correct, we do have the best only natural sand beach on the island! Our amazing views of the beach, ocean and wildlife do leave many lasting impressions with our guests. We love to hear that our attentive staff was able to provide the service to have you wanted to come back already.

Although the Casa Marina beach does have coral obstructing some direct water access, there is unique access to the ocean from our pier. The expansive beach, palm trees and hammocks of the Casa Marina provide a breathtaking oasis unlike any other in the Florida Keys.

We cannot imagine another place to spend your vacation other than our Waldorf Astoria Resorts. Please let me know when you are planning a return trip so that I may assist with your accommodations.

All the best,

Jason Carter

“Great Hotel - Not quite Typical of a Waldorf Property”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Our stay was very nice due to a very spacious room (upgrade) with a great view of the pool and Ocean. Good appointments except for "Old" lumpy sleep sofa and wall and doors that needed repainting. The start of looking "shabby". Missing instructions on how to use Coffee maker. We were three in the room and requested "turn-down" service. They forgot to turn down and open the sleep sofa. Overall stay was good but room rate not indicative of room itself
