We stayed at Key West B&B the Popular House for our 2nd time. We were there in November 2011 for a week and loved it. We stayed in 2 different rooms. The first one was in the front of the house on the first floor, it was the first room to the right when you come in the front door. Beautiful big room with 2 beds and a great bathroom. The second one was on the top floor (3rd floor) with one bed, nice bath room and an arch window that opens to look out over William St. We really liked both rooms and the only difference would be, if the stairs are too much, then take the one on the first floor. Prices were MORE than reasonable compared to others on the island.

We rented bikes/locks from the B&B for the week at a fantastic price and it worked out great. They were very handy and we used them every day. Even though the location of the Popular House is very close to everything, it even helped more to have our own bikes ready for us to use. When you rent them for the week, you get your own bikes, so you have the same ones every day. The bikes were in great shape and were serviced regularly by a company. One of the mornings I was on the front porch drinking morning coffee I watched the guy come to the house on his “mobile bike-fixing shop”, check all the bikes, changed a tire on one and do all the necessary maintenance on the others. It sure was nice to see someone taking pride in their work and it made me feel better about our time on the bikes. If you are going to Fort Z. Taylor Beach, they are a must. We even rode them to Lunch at Hogfish Bar & Grill on Stock Island!

The staff was incredible, very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was very good. They have a frig that the guests can use, so most people bought a 12 pack at a local store and always had a few cold ones ready after a long day of shopping.

We recommend this B&B anyone that we talk to and we would definitely recommend it to you too.

We have visited Key West for years and often change where we stay to make our trip more interesting. Of all the choices we have made, staying at the Popular House was by far the best. All the staff, Liz, Trisha and Tonya are professional and enjoy what they do. Jody, the owner, is gracious and runs a nice property that is clean and well thought out, right down to a cold water machine for refilling water bottles for each day's adventure on foot or cycling around town. Of all the great people associated with the property, Goo, the owner's dog and mascot for the inn, steals the show. The inn is located only two blocks from Old Town which is one of the best areas of Key West. We stayed on the second floor where there are two bathrooms shared by the second floor guests. When initially booking the room this seemed like it might be an issue but it never was. We'll have to plan in advance in order to get in, but will stay there for our next trip to Key West.

This B&B was the perfect choice for my short getaway to Key West. As I was traveling alone, I was fortunate to discover that Popular House offered a small single room at a reasonable rate. The B&B is located in a peaceful neighborhood just a few blocks from Duval St and convenient to most everything. The breakfast each morning included an excellent selection of fresh fruit and ample other items.The property is well maintained and will provide you a great place to stay in Key West!

We stayed here in mid January. Great location. Decor and rooms are lovely. The staff are very friendly and ready to help with any reservations or recommendations. Plus, their recommendations were always very accurate. Definitely would stay there again.
