i spent a few days in key west in feb of 2002 and stayed at bananas foster. loved the place. service was friendly and warm. the staff was extremely helpful with planning outings, renting bikes, making reservations. breakfast was wonderful, a beautifully presented spread of fruit, cereal, yougurt, muffins, rolls, plus a special cooked breakfast every day. tons of fresh coffee and orange juice. happy hour was great, with wine and so much food you could skip dinner if you wanted. the location is great, on a quiet but not secluded corner. the one and only negative? the closed in courtyard, pretty in itself but no view of anything. but a very minor negative, i'd go back in a heartbeat.
