“A sweet little getaway spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Fantastic location. Super-cute little property. Quiet and romantic. Pool area is great for enjoying a glass of wine at night. Front desk is very helpful. Breakfast consists of a bit of fruit, muffins, bagels and cereals -- not huge but sufficient (besides you want to look good in that bikini, don't you?). Crisp, clean white sheets on the bed. Mattress could be upgraded otherwise, loved it.

“Glad we stayed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I researched moderately priced lodging for our trip to KW, and this property wasn’t too much more expensive than the chain hotels on the outskirts of town. I loved the location--we walked to Duval St, South Beach, Dante’s on the other side of the island. It’s on a main road, but we didn’t hear much noise from traffic & the individual bungalos were wonderful. I’m so glad we stayed here. I thought it was a great value for the price. The staff was friendly, the pool was clean & the room was comfy. Lovely grounds and peaceful swing. Unfortunately the poolside b’fast was underwhelming, consisting of store bought bagles, muffins, yogurt, and sometimes frozen cream cheese, although the setting is nice. We were in Cabin 15. Loved it!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from Truman Ave.

“Key West B&B”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

For our first visit to Key West we selected the Key Lime Inn after a brief online search.

The Key Lime Inn is located on Truman Avenue, a few blocks from Duval Street, easy walking distance. The property consists mainly of small cabins, with the office/registration area inside a former house on the property. A generous continental breakfast is included in the price.

Our room (cabin #2) was more of a studio arrangement, neat and clean. The bed was comfortable and we had the following amenities: mini-fridge, coffee maker, tv, free wi-fi, in-room safe. The bathroom was tiny, with the shower and toilet occupying the same room and the bathroom sink was in the main studio space. I noticed that the wooden flooring between the bed and closet was uneven, with some ragged edges. Overall, the room was comfortable, not fancy, and was a pretty good value for money, considering the location.

The staff were friendly and very helpful in arranging activities and tours we were interested in. The pool area was well-maintained and had plenty of seating around it, with some sunny and some shaded areas.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

“Great Proximity to Duval Street & Hemingway's Home, Nice Room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

We stayed in room 6 on the first floor of the inn building by the parking lot. Other reviewers have complained of excessive road noise from Truman Street traffic; we didn't find that to be the case. That said, you may findthe the AC unit and room fridge compressor (next to the bed) a bit loud as they kick on and off overnight.

This is an older building that has been restored nicely with hardwood floors (no carpet) and just a hint of wear and tear. The property is quaint and the room and linens were very clean and presented well. Not a ton of closet space, but adequate for a couple staying for a weekend. There is continental breakfast served by the pool area.

We paid $200 for a Friday night stay (January) and I would recommend this property as it's within walking distance of many attractions and the bar scene and shops but far enough away that you don't have the rowdy crowds raising hell outside your room at 3am.

“Great Location!!!”

Stayed here for three nights in January. Location is great, can walk or bike to all sites, and far enough from Duval to be quiet. The room was clean and quite, but the bed was not very comfortable. The breakfast and pool area were nice, along with the grounds in general. Another plus for us, was there was a fair amount of parking, as we drove in from FLL. Parking can be an issue at some places in Key West.
