Our experience with V11 and our hostess was very pleasant. Viv was very responsive and helpful. We felt very much at home in her home and loved having all the space for our family. Our 80+ year old parents did not have any issue with the spiral stairs however, it is something for folks to consider since the main living space is on the second floor. We had a lovely view from the unit and enjoyed walking around the resort. However, I do agree that the overall resort does need some updating and there is a "beach" area where there was a lot of garbage floating on the water (kind of gross).
A couple of hints for folks staying in the Keys for the first time - beware of no-see-ums (they come out at dawn and dusk) and will eat you alive. Keep covered up and close the doors until the sun has either rised or set. Buy the stone crab - they are delicious! The drive to Key West is lovely but it will take a little over two hours. We also had a ton of fun trying out all the local breakfast places.
