We were hoping to find a little get away when we visited Key Largo after finishing a Caribbean cruise. After checking a couple of recommended accommodations, we ventured out on our own to find the "right place". Set back from the main highway and on the bay side of the water, we were warmly welcomed and showed 3 rooms available. We picked unit 3 - facing the bay and the wharf.

The staff was most helpful in recommending where to get groceries along with beverages for our kitchen. The unit was exactly what we hoped for - from the ceiling fans to the carefully decorated walls - even beach towels were supplied. The owner is very meticulous about the quality of furnishings and was in the process of upgrading all the units. We had a newer furnished unit - lovely couch & TV in the main area - LOTS of windows with blinds to enjoy the outdoor surroundings. Fully serviced kitchen and a lovely bedroom with a queen size bed, dresser, night table & TV. Air conditioners in the 2 main rooms. The bathroom was your standard 4 piece with Crabtree & Evelyn supplies. Our front we had our own patio with table, chairs & umbrella. Free Kayaks are available at n/c when safe to do so.

Hot spots for wifi on the property. There was an outdoor pool but we didn't use it. Instead we opted to cool down in the bay. There are 2 wharfs to walk out on. Manatees are in the area although we didn't see them. Palm trees, lounge & deck chairs - a perfect get away.
We really enjoyed staying here - in fact, we extended our stay an extra day. Very accommodating & we will return.

The sunsets are stunning! Very relaxing and a wonderful way to deflate after a very busy cruise!

We enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful. The cottages are clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. A problem we had with a light and shower head was quickly resolved. The use of the kayaks was a nice bonus. We enjoyed sitting out at night under the tiki huts near the water. There were Ibis and friendly squirrels.

the accomidations were great, everything was clean, loved the kitchen and dining area. the site beach area was not sandy, and we definitly didnt swim at the "beach". when using the kayaks, we found alot of limitations, curfew...sunset, also more info on the manatees and when they hit that part of the ocean would have been helpful as we missed them. the pool could have been cleaner, but was satisfactory. they were really good about letting us adults stay in after hours. the paddleboat did not function and we ended up using the kayaks by the time they got around to fixing it. very relaxing, there were almost no children which i loved!!! i would stay again if i stayed in that area.

The hotel rules/ regulations on the contract we signed did not mention to pay for a dog.
I just knew it was a dog friendly place. I also have a badge for my service dog so I knew
I wouldnt have any problems to have my 8lb doggie. The next morning, I was approached by the office manager asking me if I have a dog in my room. I replied yes. She reprimanded me that the room I was in was "NOT" a dog friendly room. She said " I should have told her I had a dog upon check in". I replied, the contract did not mention about DOG rooms or $15.00 fee." I felt I was being pointed at & she made a statement telling me I should have told her I had a dog. I feel as a hotel the contract should be more clear. I was unaware. My check out was not comfortable at all. Its spoiled my good feeling about the HOTEL stay for one night.
