This hotel is not a 4 star hotel, so do not misunderstand the rating. It is a older place, but very clean. We stayed in Room 15. It was very quiet and relaxing. I heard no road noise at night.

The room is actually a small suite, with 2 queen beds. The first bed is in the main room, along with a fully equipped kitchen and a dining table. In the back is a large closet, and a small, but very, very clean bathroom. Finally, the 2nd queen bed is in a private bedroom with another large closet.

The furniture and decor are old and well used, but again, very clean. In my book, cleanliness trumps newer every day! The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven and stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and all of the mandatory cooking and eating utensils.

The beach is very small, but private. There are 3 hammocks, and a couple of grills in the beach area, along with many chairs and loungers.

The staff was very friendly. Honestly, we had little interaction with them (that is not a complaint), but when we did, they were very accomodating and pleasant.

Our Apartments are very popular since they have a separate bedroom and kitchen.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay and thank for your review.

The seafarer was not a luxury resort when it was new, and it is no longer new.
That said, we thought it was a fun little place.
We stayed one night, while passing through Key Largo on our way south.
It was very affordable for the area. Although small, our room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The grounds had a fun, tacky feel. The small beach offered beautiful gulf views, and was fine for a short swim.

Room tip: AC units are a little noisy, but the "white noise" covers up highway noise. Rooms near the water will be quieter.

My stay here was a nightmare. The room was dark and so small that there was no way to roll my small luggage bag between the foot of the bed and the wall. The bathroom was tiny - I don't believe a normal to large person could fit in it. The air conditioner was clanky and loud, and the ceiling dripped water [I hope it was water!] during even light rain. There was a mild but pervasive odor of mold. The desk staff were too absorbed in their own issues to work with. Instant coffee only in the room. I travel extensively and would have to rank this at the bottom of my hotel experiences in the US. There are far better values in Key Largo that are much larger and cleaner. If you want to experience what the Keys may have been like in the 1920s, you might enjoy this. If not, pass.

I've mentioned that Garden 1 and 2 are small rooms but many people love them because they are very economical. Additionally, we upgraded the bed from a double to a queen bed based on guest feedback.

To make a long story short.....Christopher booked a very economical package but wanted a cottage at no extra charge. We simply couldn't do it. He got very upset and threatened me to post negative reviews.

I admit that the shock of such a boldface threat left me unresponsive.

Wonderful time in V4, great kitchen set up with our own grill to use. Friendly staff with kudos to Scott, he went above and beyond. Even the squirrels were nice. The sunsets were beautiful and snorkeling and kayaking were nice assets. We'll be back...
