I came to this hotel for the gator bowl for new years. we had such an amazing time. Place is needing update but as what I was told was being under renovations in a week. Breakfast fanastic, Clean clean place, which i loved. and Staff is amazing! The biggest influence to this staff is a young lady. We met Betsy who is just down right perfect for what she does. Sweet, always smiling and always going out and beyond. Her positive attitude is just contagious to everyone. We had all transportation taken care of before and after the game and boarding for our dog taken care of( which is the biggest help), reservations, places to go and see. even though my team lost, we will be back in April. GO.... O H I O.

I am always on the road and the comfort inn is a great place to stay at! Smiling faces, Clean Hotel, and free hot breakfast! I disagree with the last two reviews by wishiwasrich and Gaseous1. This is a choice hotel, not a resort that is why the price is excellent for this location. You get what you pay for and more. It is an outdated hotel which is going under rennovations. Pool and jacuzzi is fantastic for the kids and adults! The rooms are clean. Hotel is on the ocean! Great little vacation. The staff is what makes this place more then anything. It always such a pleasure to see Betsy at the front desk. She is honestly such an asset to this hotel. I hope managers know what a difference she makes. Been to many many hotels and she is has been hands down the best. Beautiful girl inside and out. She knows what customer service is all about.
My coworkers and I love staying there and will continually stay there for business and pleasure. I use tripadvisor for many of my trips and I hope others check this hotel out before listening to the previous two reviews. Thank you.

This hotel property is directly on the ocean and offers some great oceanfront views. The staff was pleasant. The structure itself is where some of the problem areas arise, ie.,some elevator problems, water turned off to the entire building for a brief period, significant cracks on our balcony wall, it has the lowest hallway ceiling heights I have ever seen, things like that are the real issues here. There has been some attempted upgrades like the flat screen tvs, some water features in the lobby & pool area, but it is definately not more than an average property. We choose it becasue it was cheaper than the other oceanfront properties nearby. We enjoyed visiting the visitor friendly area known as the "Beach town center" and taking a $5.00 car ferry to some nearby state parks and walking to the public pier ($1.00 for access) and we loved having a drink and hor'dourves on the roof top ocean view deck of the Casa Marina.

For the price, this hotel is not worth it. You would be better choosing another one (they are all grouped together on this street). The staff were friendly, which was nice. There were many added fees, however, including an odd fee for a safe, which they make you pay even if you tell them you won't be using the safe. The rooms are very average. The bedding and couch were torn and faded. The room was not terribly clean. The walls are very thin. You can hear people talking in the other rooms. You can also hear the water rushing every time someone in another room flushes the toilet. You will hear people walking on the floors above you. The balcony "view" was of a roof-top air conditioner. We expected a bit more for the price. There is a free hot breakfast, which was okay. Overall, we would not recommend this hotel. It is an economy hotel at a four-star price.
