An affortable, well run facility that is conveniently located across from the beach. One downfall is that it is at least 30 minutes from any major attraction. For a local "cultural" experience you must spend at least one evening at Mahuffer. Great coffee at Indian Shore Coffee.

Just back from 8 nights here. The condo itself was immaculate, the only minus is the Internet is not wireless and when you have 2 teenagers with their own laptops sharing one cable was problematic.i suggest the owner join the 21st century and roll out wireless across the resort, if the airports can do it so can the barefoot beach!!!! We made the mistake of only Getty a one bed appt and coudn't upgrade as they were fully booked. The roll away bed needs replacing as the matress had seen better days,

The receptionist were very helpful, alwAys willing to give out maps , recommendations and directions to everything. If you are going to check in after 5pm make sure you call ahead so that your key can be put in the overnight box as the reception area s one open till 5pm

The pool was spotless, however there was a lot of chlorine in the water my husband and daughter love swimming under water however their eyes were always red raw afterwards. Invet in some goggles.

For good places to eat try the Salt Rock Grill next door, boom a table and be prepared to spend lot as its nt cheap, we waited till our last night but worth the wait as the food was delicious. For breakfast try crabby bills, 10 minutes in he car, good honest cheap food - Hugh plates! Avoid the Frog Pond, overpriced with slow surley service. For a snack try Indian Shores coffee house, great coffee and gorgeous homemade muffins.

All in all a great holiday and we can't wait to return

We have stayed twice at Barefoot Beach Resort (booked through Allegiant). The units are gorgeous and very clean. They are equipped with all or most of your cooking needs, they even supply a small box of laundry detergent and paper towels. I'm not quite sure why it happened but we were upgraded to locations in the complex that were quite lovely. The staff is friendly and go above and beyond. The complex is located across the street from the beach with easy and safe access. We so enjoyed our stay.

Well done, Barefoot Beach Resort!

We rented at Barefoot Beach Resort through Global Connections the week of 10/22/11 - 10/29/11. We were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary on 10/24 and this turned out to be a perfect location for a relaxing trip. Because we rented through Global Connections, the cost for the week was only $230.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom ground floor condo with an entrance off the parking lot. Closer to intercoastal waterway than Gulf Blvd. No real view but that was no big deal. The condo itself was beautiful and had everything we needed. Since there were ust the 2 of us, the 1 bathroom was fine but if travelling with another couple it would be nice to have another bathroom.

The interiors were re-done 5-6 years ago so the inside was very nice. We even had a little backyard courtyard with a table and chairs and a privacy fence. The kitchen had everything we needed and we did cook several meals during the week. We were also right next to 2 gas grills which we also used.

The location related to the beach was great. A 2-3 minute walk across the street and we were there. The office even had an umbrella that we could borrow. We had a rental car so we did travel to several beaches in the area. Our 2 favorites were Caladesi Island and Ft, De Soto Park beach was amazing. No crowds at all at any of the beached that time of year.

We were right next ddor to Salt Rock Grill where we went for our anniversary dinner. It was good and they do have early bird specials. We also had a great mexican meal at Los Mexicanos in Indian Rocks Beach.

Our only complaint was that the pool was being worked on the whole week we were there. We wre able to go to the sister resort in Medeira Beach and use their pool which we did 1 day however no restroom facilities were available.

All in all we loved the Barefoot Beach Resort and would definitely recommend it.
