In my search for a "pet-friendly" gulf-front beach accommodation, I found "Tommy's on the Beach" on the web and decided to give it a try ... so my husband and I - both septuagenarians - spent Thanksgiving 2009 in the ground floor unit ... along with our darling little sweetheart dog Lucky (also a septuagenarian) ...

The unit was darling .... perfect for us - it was exceptionally clean - great floor plan - very very comfortable - nice big kitchen (totally equipped) and living room looking out over those white sands of Florida - and The Gulf of Mexico. The bathroom was quite large and again exceptionally clean and well-stocked with more than an adequate supply of towels, etc. Our bedroom was also quite large enough to house the two huge double-beds - side-tables - two separate chests of drawers - chair - television - closet - and overhead ceiling fan. There was also a large well-stocked laundry room available for our use. Home away from home .... what more could one want ...

I must disagree with the January 7, 2009 review wherein Lisa from Lancaster, NY stated she disliked the "older furniture and decorations" .... we accepted without complaint the "older furniture" and the "decorations" were what made Tommy's our little bit of nostalgia ... 'nuff said !!

We met Jan, the owner, and found her to be a most gracious and charming hostess who couldn't do enough for us ...

Having lived here in Florida these past 50-plus years, we have spent many hours at our local beaches - in fact our present home is but a short 40-minute drive away from "Tommy's on the Beach" - so there is no doubt in our minds that - health permitting - we shall return !!!

We rented the enitre condo (all three units) and it was just right for the 20 of us. They thought of everything. We didn't have to bring a thing. They had plenty of bed linens, towels, beach chairs, and games, just to name a few. The units were well maintained and clean. Loved the grassy yard area with enough seating for everyone, two grass grills, a hammack, and shuffle board. Just off the grassy area was the beach, which was also quite private.

Entertainment was just a short hop away. We ate at the french bakery and Thai restaurant which were both at our back doors. Close enough to Clearwater beach and Treasure Island for night life and shopping.

We would definetly go there again.

This is most likely our 5th year in renting at "Tommy's on the Beach" we truly love this place and plan to continue renting for the month each year. Wow what a truly enjoyable vacation, eating out and just looking over at the Gulf. We have two little dogs who just love to look out on the top deck. Our son and his family come down for a week each march and the children totally enjoy their time at our rental condo. We just love to see the dolphins moving along wht gulf. Beautiful, relaxing, and wonderful neighbors. See you next year Tommy's on the Beach.

My family rented all three apartments of Tommy's on the Beach for a Christmas Family Reunion. The three apartments allowed us to have our "own"space but yet we were all together. What a dream vacation it was! The places were very clean, had everything you needed and the backyard and the access to the beach was absolutely perfect! We will definitely return to Tommy's on The Beach and highly recommend it to everyone! A dream place located in the heart of Indian Rocks Beach!
