I stayed at this "resort" over Labor Day weekend with my boyfriend. The location was great since it was near things to do while still very quiet. The view from the balcony was very nice since it overlooked the water. The management provided a handful of brochures for local things to do as well as some restaurants in the area. There were some downsides though:
When I made the reservation I pictured a condo-style room that was part of a larger complex with a front desk. This was not the case. The "resort" is 3 doublewide trailers on pylons because of their proximity to the waterfront. It wasn't exactly a "resort" according to my definition.
According to management there should be a kind of housekeeping service that collects dirty towels and cleans the place. It was obvious the room had Not been cleaned prior to our arrival. The room was orderly, but not clean.
The other problem was the bed. Our room had two double beds which is awkward for two people used to sleeping in a queen...and it was like sleeping on a cement slab. The bed was extremely hard and we looked in the closet for something to pad it with. The blankets in the closet smelled musty and funky and so we just dealt with the hard mattress for two nights. We paid for three nights but couldn't bring ourselves to sleep on that bed for one more night!
If you have back problems this is not the place for you. If you are not familiar with the area I suggest finding a guidebook or making a list of things to do before arriving since the property has no "front desk" or "office" nearby.
All things considered I would not stay there again. There are plenty of other places nearby.
