Oh my were do I begin I read reviews thought couldn"t be that bad but IT IS so dirty, noisy. If it was only hotel in area I would stay in my car. Never slept all night. Paid for 2 nights but after first night couldn't wait to get in the car and go. Please if your not in an eposide of horders don"t stay here.I have stayed in many hotels well it is by far the worst!!!!!

We have stayed at this hotel and the Riverside Resort over the years. I prefer the location of this hotel to the latter. Options are very limited in the Homosassa area. And, I have seen an improvement at this property, you can tell work has been done including painting inside and out since we last stayed there. The property has been cleaned up and it was really nice to walk over the bridge and watch the animals at the Homosassa River Park first thing in the morning. One improvement, new beds and some newer ammenities. New fridge and microwave. Housekeeping is getting better though the bedspreads were soiled. Bathroom and vanity was clean but the carpet was dirty. Could use an upgrade on the pillows though, very hard and flat. My kids resorted to using their pillowpets and my husband and I took their pillows. There was an old 19" TV that would not have been so bad but, the remote sucked. The buttons stuck and sticky electrical tape held the whole thing together. We called to have the remote changed but only got more electrical tape and it still didn't work.

The only other comment, it was nice to have a comp. breakfast but it could have done MUCH better. Not going to go into details about it. Hope the property continues to improve, Homosassa could use a GOOD hotel.

I live in Florida 30 years. If you are thinking I-75, think Rt. 19 Homosassa Springs instead, then you will see real Florida, a great dollar value for a good room & site also next door to amazing
nature, wildlife & beautiful waters & trails. Steve

I would only stay at the Bella Oasis again if there were no other hotels in a 25 mile radius of Homosassa Springs. The hotel is in despair, upon check in we noticed that the price they charge is more expensive than advertised online. When they forgot to give us our AAA rate we were told we would have to handle the refund in the morning. I was amazed at how unhelpful the staff at the hotel was, and how unprofessional they came across. The whole hotel needs paint on the outside, the rooms really could use an update. From the mattresses that felt like they were from the 70's, to the lack of pillows, the dirty chairs with the table set, and bath towels that couldn't be any thinner or smaller. To make matters worse, there was a bathing suit bottom liner attached to our bathroom door, we were place in a room right next to the pool and bar, where a gentlemen, with little to no skill in the art of music, played until well after 10:30. There swimming pool has no lights, and the deck around the pool has one little light that give off minimal lighting, so it makes it useless to try to use the pool at night. In the morning we headed down to the "continental breakfast" which consisted of two bulk cereal options, some apples, and some packaged danishes, like the ones you see in the gas stations. They have coffee, but only artificial creamer. And the room they provide it in is a dimly lit bar type area, not very appealing for a breakfast location. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and we will not visit the Bella Oasis again.
