Harrington House is a quaint bed and breakfast well worth booking. The house itself is quiet and laid back with a small pool. Rooms are comfy, but the shower in our room was a bit tiny. The beach is pristine and perfect for sunning, shelling or floating on a raft. Bicycles are provided and we took advantage of them. It's easy to bike Anna Maria Island and take in the sights. Loads of shops, galleries, and restaurants on the Island. Try The Sand Bar for a breathtaking sunset view.

My husband Jerry and I were so pleased that we made the right choice in staying at The Harrington House Beachfront Bed and Breakfast this past first week in January 2012. Our expectations were surpassed in every category e.g. the property was emaculate in every way, the staff friendly and very accommodating to our every need and want, the gournet breakfasts delicious and well presented, the chocalate chip cookies to die for, the view and sunsets spectacular, the pool just right, not too warm and not too cold (like soup) and the owner's son Mark very nice and a big heart to others. Can't say enough about the staff, we feel we made "new friends for life" and on that note, we plan to return again and have made reservations for a future trip. Staying at the Harrington House was the highlight of our trip to the Sarasota and Ana Maria Island communities. We live in the Florida Keys and Miami, and made a short trip over to the Tampa /Sarasota area for three days between Christmas and New Years. The weather was perfect so that added to the enjoyment. We enjoyed meeting Ann, Meagan and Mark who went out of the way to make our stay enjoyable. Mark recommended a restaurant close by, the Beach Bistro, which was fantastic. The beach in front of the B&B is gorgeous and we took some nice walks in the morning and evening. I am an airline attorney and travel all over the world, staying at mostly chain hotels, which are fine, but staying at some place like Harrington House(while on vacation) is a welcome alternative to basically business hotel environments.

We plan to return as this is really an "oasis" on the west coast of
Florida

Want a place right on the water away from the busy areas with a private beach, great rooms, sunsets to die for, yummy breakfasts, a homy feel and wonderful friendly staff? This is it. Wow, love this place! Its a piece of heaven on earth. Have been twice and loved it! Cannot recommend highly enough!
