We choose this hotel for a number of reasons. We needed free shuttle to the airport, parking for our car for a week, and we got a better than internet rate calling Choice hotels as we are members and get points for stays. They do not have a fly/park package rate but will let you leave your car in their secure lot for $6 a night. That plus the room rate made it my far the least expensive of the hotels we checked.

At first glance the lobby, bathrooms off the lobby and elevator looked a little shabby, but the room was fresh and clean, nice carpet, drapes and furniture, and the bath had been nicely tiled. It must have been renovated somewhat recently. The breakfast was great everything you expect, waffles and fruit, and there were outdoor tables by the pool as well as inside breakfast room.

The shuttle to the airport was fast and on time, and the pick up was as well. It was near a major shopping center with many restaurants. We would definately stay there again.

We stayed 1 night prior to a cruise.

As the name suggests this hotel is geared for people going to/coming from a cruise. This means it is a high volume/high turn over type of stay.

The free pick up at the airport was excellent. Quick pick up. There was a lot of activity in the lobby when we arrived (all folks checking in for cruises the nex day). Check in was fine and they signed us up for the free shuttle to the port.

The port shuttle was efficient and loaded and departed 5 minutes early (don't be late.)

The pool area was nice. The highlight was the free breakfast. They had the usual danishes/rolls plus eggs and waffles. There was limited indoor breakfast seating. Most people chose to sit outdoors near the pool.

Note that his hotel shares a parking lot with the Hampton Inn and there are other hotels very close by.

It is located near many fast food type eateries and a large shopping center with a Kmart if you need to pick up items.

We walked 1 mile to the Walgreens and CVS and attended Catholic Mass at St. Maurice.

A few blocks away is a Cuban restaurant Las Vegas 8 which is highly recommended.

This is a good pre-cruise location because of all of the retail and restaurants in walking distance.

If I were to go on a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale, I would stay in this general location and look for the hotel that I have loyalty points.

Stayed one night here because of a room saver coupon. Outdated and dirty. It seems most hotels at this price range are a little dirty so it's not unexpected. They got to cut cost somewhere. I liked free internet, free breakfast was just ok, and beds where ok. However don’t even waste your time asking for a roll away bed. This too is expected to be a little uncomfortable but this one takes it to a whole new level. The roll away was seriously like 150 2 or 3 inch coil springs no padding just fabric wrapped around the thing. We tossed a comforter and sheet over the springs and still had no luck with making it tolerable. We gave up on it and crammed into the double bed. While checking out and taking luggage to car I noticed the maintenance staff wearing respirators and carrying shiny metal sprayers like the kind exterminators use. They entered two rooms in different areas of hotel when I was loading up. I never saw a bed bug or roach but I'm assuming they were spraying for one of them. I will not stay here again just too dirty for me.

This hotel sells itself as an ideal airport/cruise terminal base, offering free transfers. We waited nearly one and a half hours at the airport, and were only picked up after the third phone call. The next day our transfer to the cruise ship took place 45 minutes after the time we were told to assemble. Some guests were told their transfer shuttles were full and that they would have to make private taxi arrangements. The room was OK apart from a broken room safe. Breakfast was chaotic - 7 empty coffee dispensers and lots of other depleted items, and elusive members of staff. I think the hotel cannot cope with the concentrated demand imposed by overnight pre-cruisers.
