As the owner of a motel in WNC and growing up in Hollywood, I had major concerns about booking the Rip. I called and talked in length to Felecia. After our conversation I decided to book and I am soooo happy that I did!

Grounds pleasant, room was very clean, staff was exceptional, plenty of convienent parking, excellent restaurant at the hotel next door a easy walk for mom! And of course the TIKI ;)

They even surprised mom with champagne!! No regrets, wish we could have stayed longer!!

Had never been to Hollywood Beach before my recent trip (early February), but am a huge fan now, and loved staying at the Riptide! The property is situated right in the middle of everything going on on the Broadwalk, which it sits directly on. The ocean water is probably 40 feet from the property line. We had 5 people staying in a larger room, which had two queen-sized beds, a pull-out couch bed, and still room for a table and chairs, plus a kitchen and bathroom. (We were told the room would sleep 6, but that probably would have been a stretch.) Windows from our room looked directly out at the water. We had a great view by day and a wonderful breeze through the room at night. Staff was wonderful - Laverne in the office, Loretta at the tiki bar, and everyone else. We had several fun happy hours at the tiki bar. Plenty of other bars line up and down the beach. I would definitely stay at the Riptide again in future trips!

at first glance it looks like just your average on the beach old hotel. this was a last minute decision we walked in and spoke to Ms Wilson and she was wonderful. room 25 in the north building clean new furnishings new hardwood flooring a full kitchen nice appliances. great little tiki bar terrific service right on the water great music you can't beat it for the price
