We stayed here for one night- February 3rd. We had a very light arrival to Ft. Lauderdale airport at 12:20am. As soon as we picked up our luggage we called the hotel for the complimentary shuttle bus. The driver arrived within 10 minutes. He was a very nice and friendly man from Jamaica. Once we were at check-in, we were greeted in a friendly fashion and given our room key.

The room was large and very clean. The bathroom was stocked with fresh towels and toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, lotion and a hair dryer. The sheets smelled of fresh laundry and the air conditioning was working perfectly. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept well with no outside noise to bother us.

In the morning, we went to the lobby for the complimentary breakfast which included fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice, eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes, toast, muffins and pastries. The food was ok. I was happy with my toasted English muffin and peanut butter. After breakfast, we signed up to take the 10am shuttle back to the airport so we could rent a car. The shuttles leave every hour on the hour so sign up when you check-in or do so when you get up in the morning.

The pool area was nice and clean but small. The hotel next door, The Comfort Inn, had a nicer pool area but it looked too crowded there. I was happy to be in the Hampton Inn. There is also a small gym but it's only 3 machines. There is a water cooler there if you need.

Upon checkout, we were asked how our stay was and if there was anything they could have done to make it better. The staff is very accommodating and extremely nice. I would recommend this hotel for your pre-cruise/vacation stay. Pictures will be uploaded separately from review.

We stayed here for the first time 2 years ago, and keep coming back! Its great when you can find a home away from home when travelling. David Blevins the manager was very friendly, and has surrounded himself with a most excellent staff. We get almost as excited to spend a day or two there before our cruises. There is a mall in walking distance to pick up last minute items, and you start your day with a great complimentary breakfast. Hats off to you and your hotel David.

I discovered bed bugs the morning we checked out. We were in a first floor handicapped
room (this was not a request). The room was awful with no air conditioning. We were staying the night before a cruise. The big surprise came when we returned home and found
3 charges on our Visa statement, all to i-tunes for about $124.00. It had to have been by someone in the hotel because that was the only time we used our Visa card was for the
hotel room. I was lucky I had not opened my main suitcase so the bed bugs did not get into
my clothes.

Our one bedroom suite was very comfortable and very clean, perfect for our short overnight stay. The kitchen facilities, which we did not use, would be useful for an extended stay. Good restaurants and a shopping mall were just around the corner and the airport was just a short drive away. We had a rental car and did not use the hotel shuttle. The morning breakfast was good; the exercise facility had a single stepper, bike and treadmill and not much else but they all worked.
