“Everything perfect. See you next year.”

This is one of those reviews your reluctant to write because you don't want other people to find out about this fantastic place in case it drives prices up or you can't get a room. Everything about this property and its staff is perfect. We've stayed at the highest end resorts (W Retreat) and rented apartments at vacation spots, and our favorite to date has been this charming property. Nothing is too fancy. Rates are amazingly reasonable. We get two adjoining rooms. Bring the kids, and all family near by make this the hang-out spot.

The restaurant serves good food, the bar good drinks and kids who are staying there eat for free when adults eat. What more could you want. Oh, more? okay:

It's right on the beach. Not across or next to, but right on the beach. It has a pool, a kiddie pool and rock waterfall jacuzzi. So you can swim in ocean water or pool water within 50 feet of each other.

I'd also like to say a special thank you to Ric Clark who makes the stay easy and is there to help with anything you need (they even swapped a mattress for us to make sure it was firm enough).

Room Tip: There are rooms right by the pool and rooms that overlook the ocean. Being on the ground floor is a...

“WOW - Very Impressed”

My husband and I were visiting his family in West Palm Beach and Delray Beach over the Christmas/New Years Vacation! We were offered a night off from the kids and we took advantage of the opportunity. We booked a room at this Holiday Inn and were extremely impressed. This is the only hotel in the area that is directly ON THE BEACH! I couldn't believe how close we were to the water. The rooms look to be recently renovated. The side tables had marble tops. The bed was very comfortable. Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach was a very short drive and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Deck 84 on the water. We had a beautiful breakfast in the Holiday Inn restaurant the next morning. The view of the ocean was incredible. We will definitely be back!

“Beats out much more expensive beachside properties...”

My husband and I took a Christmas mini-vacation/business trip in 2011. The property is centrally located in Highland Beach...Between Boca, and Del Ray.
The hotel itself was fine, just a bit outdated, but you get what you pay for. It was clean and and comfy. While the hotel was a bit outdated, the rooms seemed to have been recently updated. There is a heated pool and hot tub with a waterfall...I personally wouldn't use it, far too many people in it..
The restaraunt was really good; especially for breakfast. We ordered room service, and it was fast and very good as well.
Del Ray is a fun touristy town, with a great public beach, albeit no parking:( Go to Boston's on the Beach in Del Ray, to park, and eat at a new retaurant up on top of the Boston's restaurant called 1520... It was beautifully done-over, with excellent food.

Room Tip: Definitely ask for, and then reconfirm an oceanfront room. Upon arrival, the manager tried to put us...

“Love this place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

I am a business traveler who is on the road all of the time. I loved staying at this hotel for a bunch of reasons and here are a few: Right on the ocean. Nice beach. Restaurant serves good food until late (10:00 PM I think), Nice well maintained hot tub and pool area. Clean rooms (though the level of cleanliness varied between several stays). Friendly staff from front desk to bar / restaurant to room service. As I am a Platinum Priority Club member, I was upgraded on every one of my 5 stays which ranged from 1 over nighter to 8 days.
Hotel is older but fairly well maintained and any minor issues that I ran into were addressed quickly and cheerfully by the staff. When working again within a reasonable distance, I will definitely choose this hotel and will probably burn up some of my Priority Club points taking my grade school age son here for part of Spring Break this year.

Room Tip: If you book an ocean front room, either get ground floor for easy access to beach or the higher the...

“Holiday Inn on Highland Beach Gets Almost Gets a High FIVE!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

We really enjoy the Holiday Inn on Highland Beach, just north of Boca Raton, in Florida. The hotel is right on the beach. It has a lovely patio/pool area, bar and an excellent restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The rooms are a tad faded--which is why it's not a 100% five out of five.

The hotel is excellent value--and we got an incredible rate--best I've ever gotten, and I've stayed several times.

It's a real treat to be right on the beach and then come back and slip into the waterfall hot tub.

The inter-coastal waterway is right across the street--and the view is gorgeous.

We received one free drink coupon for being Priority Reward members. The bar tender was a bit of a showman and mixed two drinks--with two hands flying over bottles and blenders. The drinks were perfect.

We'll stay for sure, next time we visit the Highland Beach area.

Room Tip: the rooms facing the ocean have nice little balconies--but they are more expensive. We had a room o...
