Room smelled musty, luckily I planned ahead to bring air freshner spray, just for this reason, so that definitely helped. Too many stains and spots on carpeting, throughout room AND in halls, questionable? and very noticeable. The housekeeping staff was not friendly at all in the morning. We stayed here just one night, we are locals and attended an event here, so it served it's purpose of not drinking and driving....... We did go to the pool in the morning, the pool needs to be scrubbed and there were termites floating in it, so that was not pleasant......Continental Breakfast was a joke, mold on the frozen pancakes, not a single piece of fruit....probably would not stay there again. It was quiet, but I think b/c there were very few guests & that should tell you something.

We stayed at the hotel for one night for my step-daughter's wedding which was also held at the hotel. We noticed immediately that our room smelled moldy, but thought we may just need to adjust the air conditioner. We also noticed a dehumidifier in the room. We got changed and went to the wedding. That night I was awake almost the entire night due to the moldiness, as I have asthma, but also the noise from the dehumidifier which I was afraid to turn off because of the mold. After speaking with other family members the next morning, I found out ours was the only room with a dehumidifier, so the hotel definitely knew there was a problem in that room. When I said something at the time of check-out, I was told I should have come to the front desk (in the middle of the night) and they would have changed my room. No apology, no nothing. Another family member's room smelled of pet urine, she complained, but she wasn't even offered another room. Thank goodness this was only for one night and a one time event. NEVER AGAIN! Yesterday morning I sent an e-mail complaint to the hotel manager...more than 24 hours later , no response.

This was a last minute stay. The staff was very friendly, the hotel and rooms had just been upgraded with new carpet, paint, furniture and bed linens. It was a holiday weekend but the price was still reasonable and the hotel was very quiet for a good nights sleep. The pool area was nice too. Our room had 2 queen beds, which was nice for us and my son. They also had a microwave, frig and coffee pot in our room. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here to be closer to Rainbow River and get an earlier start. It is about 20 minutes from there. Close to Dunnellon which had some cute antique shops and stores in the downtown area.

We had to stay here due to repairs on our home. We live in the area and they refused to give us a small discount, especially due to our unfortunate situation... We were treated very rude. It seemed if you were retired you were treated with royalty. We are not retired but are in our 40's and feel no matter what the age this is an awful way to treat guests and do business. We called for one extra blanket due to my husband feeling ill that evening and they refused to give us a blanket and spoke rudely to us "try turning your a/c up or off" !
We will NEVEr stay here again nor recommend this hotel to anyone. I am ashamed to say this hotel exists in our county, I guess you could say this will give some people/families the inside on how Citrus County really is, not very family friendly and caters to retired. I would drive an hour or more to go somewhere else.
