I checked in on the jan.1 the hotel was emty ,the room I was in you could hear the people next door so I turn the tv on so I could not here them and went to sleep 6pm( it was a long flight)at 1230am the front desk called and woke me to tell me there was a noise complant about my tv .I told them I turned on the tv so I could not hear the people next door(I am not hard of herring the walls must be paper thin)I had them out me in a diffrant room.(was not very happy)the next day the cable tv stoped working for the whole hotel( all most 24 hours there was no tv)so I desided to change hotels for the rest of my trip(5 more days)when I checked out the the next morring and went to the paramount plaza hotel a very, very nice hotel and half the price.

Stayed one night here for a Graduation in mid December '11. I was ready to get out of the car and Holiday Inn was the first place I saw. Staff was super friendly upon check-in, they even helped me find where I needed to go for graduation the next day, and most importantly, directed me to the closest location to grab some beer. The hotel is right on a strip that has a lot of bars and restaurants and a few liquor stores. The room was a little old and bathroom a little small, but was good for my traveling companion and I. Slightly overpriced for what I got, but it wasn't too big of a deal. Stayed in room 306, had a good view of the pool. As far as the walls being thin, I didn't hear anyone all evening, and no one complained on us for playing guitar till 2 AM. Front desk girl was named Gabie I think, she was totally helpful. Would stay here again, especially if prices were a tad lower.

I stayed here because I was attending a training at UF. I've never been a fan of Holiday Inn, but I hoped for the best. The room was dirty and like the previous poster I noticed a strong smell of urine. The walls are paper thin. I could hear the entire conversation of the people in the next room. I could even hear my neighbors super loud and very frequent burps (not the fault of the hotel, it just speaks to the very thin walls).

The lobby has been renovated but the rooms are dated. It appears that they tried to make updates but it was only cosmetic, you can look and see that the rooms need major repair. The one positive thing is that the staff is super nice. However, I would not stay here again.

The first thing we noticed as we entered the room was a smell of urine. Room was small and bathroom was rather dirty. There were no breakfast and cafeteria facility, however the staff is very friendly. Overall, we think the hotel is slightly overpriced.
