I stayed here for two nights in September. The rooms are older but the room was clean. It had a small refrigerator, internet wifi worked pretty well and bathroom was ok. GREAT shower with a Waterpik head. I stayed on the second floor facing the large parking lot and had no issue with noise. The bed was fine. The staff was very friendly and the older lady at the desk said she had been there for 30+ years. Breakfast variety was ok. I would stay there again

This hotel, should really be condemmed. I was in Gainesville, Fl looking at UF. I have stayed in numerous Days Inn without any problems. This was the worst hotel experience I really have had in the USA. We get in the room, I went to use the bathroom, completely blood stained behind the bathroom door. The sheets, actually scared me, full of pubic hair, OMG, gross. We choose this hotel for the pool, the pool has been closed for 3 years!!! Yes, the front desk clerk told me that when I pressed them, about how green, and the lights were floating, on the surface. The front entry, filthy, and let's talk about the hoarding in the lobby area, with the ripped furniture. I am contacting Barry Brackbill, Regional Opts. Manager, for Wyndam Hotel, Barry.Brackbill@WyndhamWorldwide.com, and ask him, why none of the vending machines, worked, for years, the lawns work is not done, steps with chipped paint,the ice machine, doesn't work, and was filthy, the front of the trash cans, were so dirty, and the concrete was even gross. The outside light outlets are a safety hazard, and are broken, and have exposed wires!!! The breakfast, had a filthy dirty rag, on the coffee, machine, all was dirty, and grimey. Come on Days Inn, inspect this property, and get real....about fixing this up. This could be a cash cow, with all the UF, activities. Three years without a working pool, is fricking riduculous!!!

We stayed for 4 nights and had a pleasant stay. The breakfast in the morning was more than expected and the rooms were clean. We have 3 rooms and we didn't have any problems with dirty rooms or bed bugs. The staff was knowledgeable and very courteous. Prior to checkout, we reserved our rooms for our next stay in a few months.

My mother and I stayed there for about 6 days and it wasn't bad, but wasn't so good either. When we arrived, the front desk staff made some comment about how "oh my credit card works" because I chose to pay at check out instead of at check in. When it was clearly stated on the website and in my confirmation email that paying at check out was fine. Sign #1 that this place was ghetto. We had stayed here before some years ago and while it wasn't 5 star then, the staff tried and at least the pool worked. Now it seems that the owner is giving up somewhat. Then my brother informs us again that this area is prostitution row but we never saw any seriously shady characters, perhaps because it was Christmas.

Some of the front desk staff could be friendlier. Afterall you chose them, doesn't that warrant some kind of greeting? The cleaning staff meant well, but there was a language barrier and they were afraid to come into the room while we were there,kind of strange. My mother kept saying the place was jinxed, starting to agree with her. If it wasn't Christmas with everything booked and expensive, I wouldn't have stayed. This was the last time. Will be saving up for a better hotel in the future.
