Stayed one night at this Gainesville location. The staff was very accomodating, the room clean, the area of town very safe. This is an older property with exterior doors but I would highly recommend this to anyone. I can't help but wonder if those with criticisms were at the same hotel I was?

My stay was for 1 night on December 27, 2011 while passing through Gainesville; the rate was $59 with no extra pet charge. Check-in was easy and front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The room was located towards the back of the hotel as is typically the case in many pet friendly hotels. There were no signs of previous pet stays in the large room. Furnishings were above average and the bed was more comfortable than most. The free Wifi worked well and there were several healthy items available for breakfast. I will definitely stay here again when passing through to the Keys.

We are going to be staying there several times over the next two weeks so I will post it if there are any suprises. Everything was perfect: clean, friendly staff, and nice accom.. Unless there is a special event, and the prices go up, it is a very good value. Pet owners: DogWood Park is located five miles s of the hotel on Archer Road (go W at the Archer Rd. exit (there is a $10 fee to use the Park but if you go there all day it is well worth it. This is the Disneyland for dogs! There is another Dog Wood Park on the S side of Jacksonville one exit N of the La Quinta BayMeadows location. Again, if there are any changes to this hotel on this trip we will post it, but I am certain evrything will be fine.

strong smell of urine, bathroom is dirty, service is poor, staff unfriendly, no shuttle service, definitely not a value for money. This is the 2nd hotel we stayed at during our trip to Florida.
