“Shangri-la is the Camellia Rose Inn!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

The Camellia Rose Inn is a lovely and peaceful place. We had 2 rooms, and each declared the beds magical - hand-pressed sheets! Quiet and comfy. Porches and rockers. Pat & Tom (the innkeepers) are so nice. The care they take in everything really does show. I plan to go back again soon to recover from the modern world. I highly recommend.

excellent place to stay near downtown. We were here on a quiet weekend and had the entire place to ourselves. It's 2 blocks from downtown. Great breakfast in the morning and wine/snacks every night. Highly recommended!

“Simply the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 July 2011

This is a fantastic B&B. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. The property is perfectly maintained in a very quiet neighborhood. It is walking distance of University Ave. and several restaurants. Our room had a private balcony with rocking chairs. It was hard to leave to go to bed! The bed had fabulous linens. Bathroom was very spacious and the shower had multiple jet sprays. Breakfast was delicious and relaxing. Great conversations with the other guests. This B&B gets a "10+".

“Our first bed and breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2011

We stayed here because we were in town for a wedding. The initial reason we called was that we saw the good ratings online and saw that it was pet friendly (we have a 60+ german shepherd dog which most places are not so kind toward allowing). I am so glad we found this place!

The cottage was super comfortable, it was like staying at someone's house, except better because there was privacy so we were able to be alone and relax. When we came in at night we were able to go and grab some waters and there was even some brownies out. In the morning we went over to breakfast and it was delicious and Pat was extremely welcoming.

Overall it was a great experience and my husband and I and our dog will be going back next time we are in town.

“We'll be calling for our next trip to Gainesville!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2011

We definitely appreciated the "late booking" special as we hadn't intended on staying in a hotel/B&B when we were in Gainesville. It was our first B&B experience and we are sold for life. Camellia Rose Inn provided a comfortable, cool, laid-back environment to relax and escape the summer heat.
