Do yourself a favor and don't stay here! The staff is rude and the rooms are sure to put u in the hospital. The location was good, but still not worth it. My aunt's room smelled horrid and the bed was not made. Our beds in our room were stinky and full of someone's hair!! The carpet was stained and I wore shoes in the shower. When we asked for new sheets they said we couldn't have any until shift change at midnight and when we were moved to another room under the sheets was a wad of toilet paper. Oh and the door was half chewed by a dog!

I am AVM. Subbarao, from India. I stayed in this motel for three months on an official trip. Its very nice and the staff are very helpful. The rooms were clean. laundry facility is also there. Room rent is also reasonable. The advantage point is its location. Behind University of Florida and Shands cancer research Hospital. There is a small kitchenette serves the purpose for cooking your own food and enjoy. Very near to subway, Thai and other food joints.

We we down in Gainesville, Fla in June of this year so my granddaughter could have testing for her upcoming open heart surgery. We were here for 2 days and never had one bit of trouble. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and courtesy to us. We will be returning in Aug and Sept for 14 days and are planning on staying here at Rush Lake at that time.

My father was having surgery at Shands and we stayed here because it was advertised as being within walking distance to the hospital. It was indeed very close to the hospital but a stay here could put you there. It was the worse room we have ever stayed in. We had reservations for two nights but only stayed one night. One night was more than we could stomach. I'm SO glad I had a can of disinfectant with me. The carpets were so stained we put newspaper down to walk on. The beds were so bad that you sunk into the middle. And I mean sunk. It was hard to get out of the bed once you sunk. These beds had to be the original. I wouldn't let a dog stay here.
