We enjoyed our stay while visiting our daughter at the University

We checked out today. My dad is 80. He asked the GM to discount the room after we were disgusted that the room wasn't even clean after being out until 3:30 pm yesterday. We got back from a movie and the room still hadn't been done.

This doesn't sound like too much of an issue right? Well the end result is no discount, the gm has told me that he did not like how i complained about how he spoke to my father (we had two rooms it was a family get together). I have now been told by the GM that i am no longer welcome at his Hotel. Yes, he has uninvited me. He thinks he is something. We complained to Corp. and also to Mr. Marriot's office. What did he do? He covered his rear by sending an email there just before we called. Sound like a great place? Hmmmm Me thinks not. So will you if you have an issue and find that you have been uninvited.. Try Hampton Inn the GM is not at all like this. Sorry, I love Marriott, but it is all in your local management. and this one. Well, i need say no more.

I got tickets to the UF-FSU game late but was able to find a room at Springhill suites. Very easy to get to, just off I-75. Checkin was friendly and quick. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and WIFI included.

I would definitely stay here again.

We were in Gainesville for a conference and we booked the SpringHill Suites. The staff is wonderful, pleasant and accomodating. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-maintained. We were a high school group and there were others in the hotel and although all of the groups were well behaved, the hotel shook as the kids wandered from room to room. The walls and doors were thin. But, overall it was a great experience and very economical for our group.
