My boyfriend and I stayed in the Scottish Inns in Gainesville for one week. It was the worst week of our lives, unfourtunately we didn't leave. The only reason we stayed was because it was within walking distance of the Publix and the bank. It was so dirty, we wore shoes in the shower, we never let our naked feet touch the carpet, the sheets on our beds were never changed, and the ceiling was bowing out. When we looked in the drawers, we found a small baggie with tiny flakes of marijuana, and a lighter. Every morning, the maid/manager, who never wore shoes, came to our door with a Publix shopping cart with room supplies--the towels and wash cloths looked like someone worked on a car with them, we used socks as wash cloths. It's been a considerable amount of time since our stay, and yes---we STILL talk about it.
