folks were very friendly.. great for the price. we pai 62.54+tax night.. stayed 3 nights. continebnta breakfast begals' dry cereal coffee. he-ha. we had ants in r room 2 days.they sprayed didnt help. want food close by red lobster cross street pancake house also other wise u drove 3-4 blocks.stay in oscalloa island area. better motels more reastrunts right on ocean.

The stay at this hotel was not bad at all. The room that we had was a king size bedroom. The room and bathroom was very spacious! (probably b/c it was a handicap room :-) )The room service lady and her kids were very nice also ;-) ! The only problem that I was not satisfied with was the room key kept deactivating. Everyday we had to get our room keys reactivated.

The reviews we have read were mostly bad. However, we just felt led by God to take a chance and you know what? God knows best always. This is a small property. 20-30 rooms or so. The rooms are very neat, clean, and quaintly decorated. You are only about a mile or two from the beach and shops. We had a micro, fridge, blow dryer. No extras like complimentary paper. We did not eat the free breakfast but it was available. We recommend this motel. If you are looking for a nice clean stay and can afford the $80 per night it's good. You're across the street from a nice little park/pier thingy. This was not bad at all.

This hotel took advantage of a holiday weekend by increasing the rate to $115. Comparable hotel/motels in the area were advertising $69-79. The general upkeep was poor. Missing hardware on the dresser rendered it useless. Pool dirty. No milk for childrens cereal at breakfast. These are minor compared to the actual problem. The customer service provided by the foreign (European) woman behind the counter at check in and check out was horrible. When I entered she was arguing with a patron and was very rude. When that person left she started a heated argument with the next person who entered. At breakfast she was talking to a couple about all the terrible people she encounted on her job and about thier conversations. I found this woman to be the rudest person I have ever encountered and will tell all my friend and family to avoid this Super 8. This person needs training in customer service...I can't imagine anyone who has dealings with her to ever consider returning!
