the staff were very friendly with a smile, room was clean we sleep well, it was quite and a good location,even the breakfast was good, we will stay here now every time we go to fort walton beach florida area.

We really enjoyed the location of the hotel near the Gulf. Close to restaurants, shopping, and the beach - and we did all of them! The hotel was clean, nice pool, and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again and hope we get to back again soon.

I have stayed at plenty of motels, and this one was neither better nor worse than any other motel I can remember.
I chose this motel because it was the cheapest hotel in the area that also had a free breakfast (note: the breakfast options were cereal, bagels, and danishes). It was maybe a 10 minute trip to get to a nice beach (check in at the Fort Walton Beach visitor center!) All the appliances in the room (air conditioner, tv, microwave, fridge, coffee maker) worked fine. There were no ants, roaches, or other pests. The pool outside looked clean but it was too cold to use when I visited. We did not need any additional assistance from the front desk so I can't comment on the service.

Dear Future Guests,

We booked our week hotel stay at the Super 8 located in Fort Falton Florida for the 2011 spring break unfortunately through Priceline.com, we arrived March 26th around 1:00PM after a long stressful 16 hour drive, we were unfortunately told that we were two hours too early and the "German lady" would not let us check-in until exactly 3:00. Throughout the horrible week we observed and documented that the room smelled of mold, dirty and holy sheets and linens, ants in the sink and tub, unable to understand or communicate with the staff, tub would clog after a shower but woulld finally drain after the water was shut off and when the fresh air vent was on in the bathroom, it would smell of cigarette smoke and our family doesn't even smoke!

We also had arrived early one afternoon around 3:30 in the afternoon, we came back from Destin Beach and our beds weren't made, so i went to the front desk to tell the manager and he told me, "housekeeping had already left at 3:00 and that he wasnt going to make my beds" but when we returned later that night miracuously our beds were made.The area is run-down and not safe for any family or kids to play or swim in the pool without adult supervision. I literally slept with my handgun next to my pillow for a week straight! Your best bet is to stay in Destin or Santa Rosa, we learned a valuable lesson, so take our advice or you'll be next to have your vacation ruined and you also will be leaving a bad review like us!
