We were going to Destin with our extended family for Labor Day weekend, but decided to go on a day early. We just needed somewhere for one night until we could check in at our condo. I was tickled to find such a great rate so close to a holiday weekend. My husband LOVES to fish, and this place is right across the street from the Okaloosa Island fishing pier. It was perfect for us. We stayed on the 1st floor. The room was very clean, really big, had a kingsize bed, and a mini fridge. My husband enjoyed the pier the next morning while I did a couple miles on the treadmill. The free breakfast was great too!! Thanks SO much for such a nice stay!! We will definitley be back!

The outside of the hotel wasn't appealing but the inside of the rooms were actually decent! (I normally stay in 3.5-5 star hotels) so this was ok... The room had everything I wanted (fridge, wifi, king sized bed with the awesome feathered down comforters! EXCEPT for a DVD player!!! (I rented 2 Redbox dvds and couldnt use it, so bring a DVD player or a hookup for the tv). The wifi didnt really work for me but maybe it was just me and the remote for the tv didnt work so i had to get new batteries from the front desk 3 times... besides that, it really wasnt a bad stay! If I ever go back to Ft Walton beach, i would consider staying there. PS--the breakfast wasnt bad either! (Waffles taste like Wafflehouse! :)

So you are almost directly across the street from the Boardwalk area with public beaches and plenty of restaurants and night life. From the outside the place doesn't look all that great but the room was clean and well taken care of. The tv, microwave and coffee maker were older appliances but still worked. Continental breakfast was great.

Are there nicer places? sure, but if you were like us and just wanted somewhere affordable to stay and enjoy the beach this place is great. We would stay again.

Nice room, clean and good Air Con, Fridge, TV, comfortable beds! The beach is across the street!
