The hotel smelled of urine and smoke. Our room smelled so awful that my six-year-old daughter vomitted. Also, the door was wide open when we got to our room for the first time - a serious safety concern. We stayed for two hours and decided it wasn't good for our children to be at this hotel. I stood at the front desk for 30 minutes, waiting for someone to help me so I could get a new room or check out. I saw four potential customers come and leave because no one was at the front desk. When the Quality Inn employee finally did arrive, she did not seem to be concerned that the room smelled like urine and smoke, that our door was left open when we arrived, and that it was making my child sick. She said they were booked, so that was the only room available. I told her I would have to take my family and leave, then. She stated, "You know that you paid for the room and you're not getting your money back." We were out more than $100, and the customer service could not have been more despicable. Absolutely unacceptable business practices. We will never stay at a Quality Inn or any of its affilates again.
