We had a great week and perfect weather. The beaches were the prettiest I had ever seen them and the water was very clear.
We had a great view from our balcony. We had a two bedroom condo for 4 adults and 2 small children and it was very crowded.
The bathrooms are very, very tiny and the second bedroom was tiny. The room was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We was very surprised that beach rental was included in the price. The young man was extra nice that ran the beach rental and always on time. We were disappointed that our room did not include a washer and dryer. We might stay there again because of what a great price we got from the owner but only if there is only two of us. There is very few places to eat on the island so we drove to Destin to eat everyday. The cracker barrel was great. I would recomend going to eat lunch at the Back Porch and the Crab Trap. At nignt it is very crowded, noisy and you can't see the beautiful beaches, but it is the same price for lunch as it is for dinner. I hope this is helpful.

We spent three days at this resort, and it was one of the most peaceful resorts I have visited. Our 2 Br. unit was on the top floor and had a great view. Check-in was a breeze, and we found our unit to be very clean and nicely decorated. A bit on the small side, but plenty big enough for four. Beds were very comfy. There was no ice machine but our fridge had a working icemaker. The pool looked nice although the deck area was quite small; it didn't matter because we stayed at the beach the whole time. Very close to restaurants, shopping, and Destin. As far as mid-priced resorts go, this one is a keeper. We would certainly consider going back. The beaches in this area of Florida are gorgeous.

We stayed there Spring Break in Condo #5-I and had a great time! The condo was very clean, decorated really cute and beachy! The view from the balcony is awesome! The pool is huge and heated with lots of room to lay out! There is plenty of parking, a security guard and the beach chair guy and lifeguards are really nice. The beach is really white and the ocean was clear as a swimming pool. We ate at Old Bay Steamer and it was great! Want to go back next year!

We booked at Island Echos just before the previous review was posted. We specifically asked when we booked if the pool was open (we have young kids, so it's important that we have a pool for them). We were told that all repairs were complete as of September 15th. When we found the previous review, we sent them an email describing what had been reported. They basically brushed us off, telling us to contact the reservation office (who had already told us that the repairs were complete). We assumed that, since the previous review was posted prior to September 15th, that ResortQuest was telling the truth and that things had been rectified. Wrong. We got there on October 12th to find the pool still full of sand, with the retaining wall still under construction. We complained to the rental office over the phone (we arrived after the office had closed), and to their credit, they moved us to a wonderful condo at Water's Edge (highly recommended!). But we were relying on them to tell us the truth while booking our first Fort Walton Beach condo from 1500 miles away, and they let us down about as much as possible. We may return to Water's Edge, but only to the unit that we have prior knowledge of, or maybe to an Island Echos or Water's Edge condo rented through a different agency, but we will never trust Resort Quest again.
