We stayed in 4G at Island Echos with our family...myself, husband, two teens, and my parents. It was a great getaway. No OIL!!! Beautiful water and beaches...just like 6 miles downs the road in Destin...no crowds on the PRIVATE beach. If we would have been on the first floor we could have reached out and touched the sand and water from our balcony. The entire back glass was nothing but ocean and beach view. Nice relaxing family getaway. Clean condo, nice decor, had absolutely EVERYTHING anyone could ever need...iron, crock pot, tupperware for left overs...LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!

My initial reservation was made over 4 months in advance for a stay at the Islander. Less than a month before I was told the pool would be closed. My reservation was for 7 nights during Memorial weekend so the supply was limited. Resortquest was able to find a room at Island Echos.

On Memorial Day staff came into the condo without calling or even ringing the doorbell – this would continue for 2 more days. This was frightening to find a strange man in my condo – I’m a single lady traveling alone. A condo above had a water heater bust. Memorial day I had over 4 visits by different maintenance staff – you’d think the problem would have been fixed – NO. Resortquest staff wrapped the electrical cord that the water was dripping on with towels, see the pictures I posted. I asked the Resortquest staff is he thought it would catch on fire and he said “I HOPE NOT.” Needless to say I didn’t sleep much the rest of my stay.

On another day, I had just gotten out of the shower, to hear Resortquest staff in the condo – I had to scream several times to get the to leave because I wasn’t dressed. Resortquest staff didn’t call or ring the doorbell.

I complained to and was sent a 20% coupon that involved so many exceptions – had to be a 2 bedroom condo, (I travel alone), not during holidays, can’t book more than 30 days out, the sun has to be in Pluto’s shadow, just stupid stuff.

Never book with Resortquest – I will try another booking agent this Christmas.

This was a very relaxing and easy vacation. I have 3 young children, ages 4 years, 3 years, and 4 months. I liked being able to see pictures of all of the condos online. I was able to pick exactly which one I wanted and when we arrived it was in the same condition we saw in the photos. The ResortQuest staff was terrific. They worked with me over the phone and have an after hours check-in. There were no surprises - like hidden fees, or extreme limitations on the passport to fun, etc.

The balconies are wonderful and safe. The bars are high enough, children can't flip over easily. They would have to use something as a step stool. All of the locks on doors and windows worked. So, young kids can't sneak out without you knowing. My daughters loved the pool and walking on the beach, and we were comfortable with the level of security at the complex.

I really enjoyed their beachside service. We had a washer and dryer and a dishwasher. The pots and pans were very worn, but we had everything we needed. We only cooked breakfast and went out for everything else. We didn't make use of their internet access, shuffleboard area, or tennis court, but used their pool and beachside service every day. It truly is on the beach. I didn't want to cross a busy street, or have to walk a long way lugging all my kids stuff. So, this worked best for us. Plus with the beachside service, we could leave our stuff at our umbrella and go for lunch or do other things and come back. I loved that!

Overall, everyone had a good time and enjoyed themselves. There was as little stress as possible with three young children. We will definitely come back for a visit.

This was my first time staying here and I thought it was awesome. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable and we had an awesome vview of the beach. The location is very convient to eating places and things to do. The staff there were very friendly. They even have a DVD machine. It was not the most luxurious place but it was great for the price.
