Stayed at many two star hotels and this was one of the worst. Upon checking in we were told that there are only 4 towels allowed for a 4 person room. We just use more than that. We had to perform a "towel-exchange" policy which entailed walking at least twice daily all the way down stairs (there is no elevator) to the office to "exchange". The beds were very hard and the pillows were paper thin. We actually woke up sore. No extra blankets to be found.Didn't even bother asking for more pillows...probably would be told "only one per person".
Two shelves were literally falling out of the walls. There were holes in the walls and in the fabric of the furniture. Upon first entering the room during check in and turning on the A/C, we found a brown recluse spider on the curtain above the A/C. No pest control services here??? The cable for the television kept going in and out and there were only about 8-10 channels to watch. Under the stairs we had to climb to get to our room there was an old sofa, lighter fluid and a grill grate. Classy.
When asking the young girl at the front desk about pool towels, we were told to use our room towels. When asked how do we take a shower after using the pool if our towels were wet from the pool, she rudely restated "we have a towel exchange policy...only 4 towels per room". We paid $70 per night for the room, so expected at extra towels at the least. Would never recommend this hotel unless drastic changes were made first.
