“Just A Little Below Average”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2011

We stayed one night late in January 2011, choosing this hotel because we frequently use the Choice Hotels chain and are familiar with the Sleep Inn usual format.
Our room was clean enough, no problems with service, some furnishings seemed worn but everything worked. What was a bit disappointing was that many small things seemed below average, more what we expect in a lower-priced chain motel.
The king bed had 3 pillows; not enough for most couples. The bath had only two rather small, very abrasive towels. Breakfast was the most minimal assortment we have ever seen in a Sleep Inn, leaving the impression that the management is trying to cut costs.
We'd check other options if staying in Fort Pierce again.

“Nice Hotel but Watch for Hidden Charges”

We arrived at this hotel after 11:30 p.m. with plans to depart early the next morning to get back on the road. Upon reviewing my receipt, I noticed a "safe with warranty" fee added to our charges. We did not request a safe nor would we have needed one. It just makes me wonder with how many travellers this fee goes without notification by the hotel or notice of the customer. While the fee is minimal ($1.95), on principle I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

“Great value... well worth the extra drive time for me!”

When traveling from Virginia Beach to Ft Lauderdale, I normally stay in the Coco area of I-95. However, due to a Shuttle launch, all my "preferred" hotels were either sold out or ridiculously over-priced. After reading the mixed reviews about this hotel, I decided to give them a try. Our check-in was fast, the room was close by, and there were no "distracting noises" from any other guests.
At breakfast the next morning, a group of travelers were "hoarding" the dining area as their own meeting room. When the front desk clerk noticed this, she came over and VERY POLITELY asked that they move across the lobby, which they did with no complaints or indignant attitudes. The "free breakfast" was as expected... rolls, juice, coffee, cereal. It's not a full buffet or a la carte breakfast... if folks want that, there are plenty of nearby facilities for them.
Overall, this was one of the nicer hotels I've stayed at on my trips to Florida. Despite an extra hour of driving time, I will make the effort to stay here again in the future. Thanks to all the staff who made my visit pleasant and relaxing!

“Not a resort, just a great place to rest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2010

Needing a place to stop while touring up the coast, we thought about finding an inexpensive motel near the water. As it was getting dark, it just seemed like Sleep Inn would be a better choice. It was. Clean, far enough off the highways to be quiet, good wine store a block away. Especially useful was the Internet computer in the lobby. Unless you just have to be in town or on the coast, can't think of a better place to stop for the night.

“very satisfactory. good management”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 March 2010

This hotel is just perfect for people like myself who is spending little time in the hotel but wants somewhere that provides satisfactory breakfast & a comfortable room to sleep in.
The towels could be upgraded though. Management & staff is friendly & effecient. Not my first stay there & wont be my last.
