“The best staff ever!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2009

When I booked online I was scared about what the place would look like and how it would be. I was driving in and seeing all the other hotels that also showed up online and they looked terrible. When I got to the main office and went in I was greated by a very friendly representative who went above and beyond to assist me. I felt very comfortable with her and my choice of staying here. We picked up our key cards and went down to the hotel. Beautiful! Beautiful! the room was great it actually was a2 bedroom with a den so it was like a 3 bedroom! When we walked around outside we saw manatee's right their floating close to the pier. We were able to ahng out at the pool and even BBQ. The hotel didn't have many guest so we had full use of everything. It scares me to write such a good review cause I feel it will become very popular. On the last day the front desk printed out my boarding passes for me to pick up at the front desk and they were wonderfully nice once again. this was one of the best trips we have taken as a family of 6 ages 44 thru 4! thank you

“Continues to be high caliber”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2009

This was our fourth stay at Santa Maria Harbour Resort. Although the office on the second floor has been closed the accomodations are still top notch. The staff in the main office on Estero Blvd are very friendly and helpful. Our townhouse unit (410) had recent renovations including granite countertops and new fixtures and had beautiful views and 2 terraces. We like this end of the Island because it is quiet, less crowded, more manicured and traffic is less congested if you exit off this end of the Island. Our only hesitation in returning is that we didn't have internet service and are more dependent on it for directions/information than we realized. Recommend Vincenzos for an outstanding Italian dinner in a romantic setting. Also there is a Manatee Park near the Orange River Power Plant in Ft Myers which is a warm water hangout for manatees at this time of the year.

“Perfect Stay at the Santa Maria Harbour Resort”

A friend and I decided to do a quick getaway for the weekend, and we stayed at this condo and it was absolutely perfect.
We got a two bedroom, two bathroom condo for 2 nights (friday-sunday). It was clean, well equipped and just perfect for what we needed. On the first day, we went over to the sister resort on the beach called "Point Estero Resort". Because it is a sister resort, you have access to the beach there. You have to rent chairs with umbrellas or lounge chairs with cushions for a small fee, but well worth it. The girl, Gabriella, who runs the rental was magnificent. It started raining about 2 hours into our stay and she ran after us when we were leaving to give us some money back since we didn't get to spend the whole day, which was very sweet of her. On Saturday, we spent the day at the pool and it was beautiful. The resort is on Estero Bay. We walked along the dock that surrounds the bay and we had the opportunity to see manatee and beautiful herons. It was really nice. There were some kids at the resort and they were out there with us and they actually were able to pet the manatees and they were loving it. It was just great! Then we took some snacks and cocktails to the beach and watched the sunset which is a magnificent sight to see.
Our flight home on Sunday wasn't until 8:15pm so we extended our check out time to 2pm for an additional $25. Well worth it. It gave us some extra time at the pool before we had to pack up and leave. The staff at the condo are EXTREMELY helpful.
As other reviews have stated, Publix is right down the street and convenient. Since we were there for a quick stay, we only went out to eat once. We ate at the Parrot Key Caribbean Grill which is on the bay. It is the perfect atmosphere for eating outdoors sipping on a margarita. And the food was really good. In alot of the flyers and books that are free at the resort, you can find a coupon for Parrot Key in them. Well worth it.

“Very nice condo!”

Went through VRBO.COM to rent, and could not have been happier. Judging by the reviews, I was a bit wary, and expected that I would be in a senior citizen nursing home.
Well, we were VERY happy when we arrived. Though we did not use the condo agency, we used a private party (web). Saw all photos ahead of time, and everything was actually BETTER than we expected!
The condo was seemingly brand new, beautifully furnished, and had all amenities (including beach chairs, towels and umbrellas!).
We will ABSOLUTELY go through this agency and condo unit again.
The trolley is a wonderful addition to this area, as we seldom drive anywhere. Also, you can fish (with no license) from their private docks in the harbor. We actually caught big fish (but tossed them back), and saw many manatees daily.
Our unit had a washer and dryer (unit 310), wireless service, and tvs/cable in living area and bedroom.
Walking distance from a shopping area with MANY good restaurants. Cosider this place - you will not be disappointed!

“Quiet Respite”

Calling this a resort is a bit of an exaggeration. It is a nice condo building with a very nice pool and adjacent to the marina. There are no other facilities such as tennis, no spa, no restaurant, etc.. It is a short walk to a nearby convenience store or restaurant.

It is at the quieter southern end of FMB, away from the "honky tonk" northern end of the beach community.

The condo itself is very nice, clean, well supplied. They did charge a $25 fee for checking out one hour late so be aware of this.
