“GREAT HOTEL...GREAT LOCATION...STAY HERE”

As a travel agent i stay in a lot of hotels and motels and for the money this place has it all. i was staying at another motel not far from here and as soon as I found this place i moved. i would never recommed the other place. i stay in different places so i can let clients and travellers know about them. You should not be disappointed in this place as they have so many different options in all price ranges so there is sometihing for everyone. The rooms are clean with nice big tile floors, quiet air conditioners and a clean bathroom which is smaller but much larger than the one at the last hotel and the other place was more money. The staff are very friendly at this hotel as well and management are hands on which is nice. This place is right on the beach with car parking as well. Walk out your door sit your chair down and you have not gone 200 feet and you do not have to worry about parking. This is a gem for the price on Fort Myers Beach. They also have lots of tables and chairs at the pool which over looks the beach as well. Every weekday you can go to the Beached Whale across the street for 1.00 draft, specials on bottle and wells as well. The mussels and flat bread shrimp pizza are on special for less than 5.00 (2012). Great bands there at night as well. All the bars are right here where the hotel is but you do not hear the music as they are far enough away.
I trust you will like this like i do.

Room Tip: ask for the rooms over looking the gulf of mexico with thier own private balconies and the rooms are...

Thank you for taking the time to write a response to our hotel. We have within the past year gotten new owners who are working very hard to make some updates to the property, But as you stated you can't beat the location and the price of the rooms. Our staff is trained to make sure your stay is a enjoyable one to make sure you will want to return. On the property we also have jet-ski's, parasailing and dolphins tours for our enjoyment. Once you arrive you can park your car and not worry about it until you are ready to leave, everything you could want is within walking distance to the hotel. Again thank you for posting your review and we look forward to have you come back to visit us again in the near future.

“Roach motel!”

We've stayed in the first floor beach front rooms which weren't too bad for the price. Was nice to walk out and have your own sun deck area with loungers. Our next visit however, was on the 3rd floor suites with the kitchenettes, nice view but the bathrooms were very small and disgusting!! Roaches in the bathroom!!! Saw a big one running on the floor and a baby one in the bathtub. Eeeewwwhhh!! Couldn't wait to leave to get to our next destination cause I wasn't going to spend anytime taking a shower there. Never staying there again..

Thank you for taking the time to post a review on your recent stay at the Pierview Hotel. We have recently went through a new owenership change and are in the process of updating our hotel. I am glad you got to experience some of the services and enhancements that we have been working on with our staff to ensure our guest are well attended to during their stay. I would like to address some of the issues you had here at the hotel. We are an older hotel and unfortunatley when you are right on the beach your will experience some bugs. What you experienced are palmetto bugs and with the wet climate from time to time they do come out. Once this was brought to our attention we immediatley called our service to inspect the area. I do hope you will give us another chance to make your next experience with us a better one.

“Big City Weekend Escape”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Was in the Ft Myers area on business and decided to spend the rest of the weekend on the beach. Chose this property for the reasonable rate and location on the beach. Property is situated just south of the pier and in walking distance to great shops and restaurants. I'm not picky at all but just have to say that the room I had needs a brand new bathroom; all of it. I joked that it looked like a CS from some TV show. Toilet was loose, tub and sinks were severly stained as in OLD. Vents were clogged with lint. Mini refrigerator was also ancient but functional. I think the only thing that was 21st Century was the flat screen TV & cable. The rooms air conditioning was great and the bedding comfortable but the agian I didn't have the Geraldo Rivera special black light to see how clean the sheets really were. The door seemed to be a little used and abused. It locked well but seemed to have been broken into in the past. The position of the room is cleary open to anyone walking by as the back side of the property is open to anyone walking by to access the beach. This goes for day or night. In fact your breachfront motel room comes with two porch chairs and loung chairs. Well if you just happen to not get up early and use them the locals take ownership of them and you have the inconvenience of dealing with it and asking for them back. At night you get to hear all the drunks talking loud, yelling, screaming and having a good ole time while you try to rest.

Room Tip: Property is at a great location. Just remember that you get what you pay for so if you're lookin...

Thank you for taking the time to post a review regarding your recent stay at the Pierview Hotel & Suites. We have within the past year gotten new owners and they are working on doing some updating of the hotel. I have checked our logs and do not see where you reported any of the problems you mention on your review. If we had been aware we could have either room moved you or sent our maintenance man in to make the necessary repairs. Again I do apologize for the inconvienance you feel you had. I do hope you will give us another try to make your next stay a better experience for you. Ft. Myers Beach has so much to offer and you cannot beat the beautiful whit sand beach and the close access to all the main restaurants and night clubs within walking distance from our hotel. Again I do apologize and hope you will give us another try.

“Bargain on the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

The purpose of our recent trip to Fort Myers was to visit our Daughter and Grandaughter, and we wanted an inexpensive place to stay, not too far from their house. This hotel seemed to fit our needs, and it looked great on the internet. When we checked in we did have a few issues with the room... the TV didn't work and neither did the safe, the matresses were too big for the boxsprings, so when you sat on the bed it tipped up and you fell off! There was only one drawer to put clothes in, and it was jammed shut. The door wouldn't close unless you slammed it very hard. When we spoke to the lady at the front desk, she switched us to another room (for a small upcharge). The second room was much nicer, with an ocean view, full kitchen and private balcony. The safe didn't work here either, but they fixed it for us.
The hotel is a bit dated and in need of some TLC but to be fair, they are trying to improve the place (it's a work in progress) and you get what you pay for. We had no further problems for the remainder of our stay, and I have to say that the place does have a lot of positive things.... the pool was spotless and heated, and the property was very clean and well maintained. The people working there were friendly and the location is great - right on the beach and walking distance to restaurants, shops, etc. It was very convenient having a kitchen, so we didn't have to go out for breakfast every day.
If you want a clean, inexpensive room with no frills, you can't really go wrong with the Pierview.
Would we stay there again? Yes, actually, I think we probably would.

Room Tip: Ask for an oceanfront room or suite - it's well worth the little extra charge.
