“Sparkling gem on the beach”

First and foremost, kudos to Lori Greissinger, rental agent extraordinaire! It is rare in this day and age to have a contact person residing in close proximity and even more so for that person to extend herself with a personal meet ‘n greet visit. We indeed felt safe and secure, knowing that any needs and concerns were addressed promptly and efficiently to ensure our stay was comfortable. Our condo had all the modern conveniences, without the owners’ personal effects, which in past experiences at other condos, made us feel we were infringing on someone’s personal space. This building, despite being only 7 years ‘new’ is maintained to high standards and any input and suggestions are encouraged by Lori. Due to the low capacity of tenants, parking is limited, entranceway secluded, amenities; e.g., pool and beachfront seldom over-crowded. The mid-island location is far enough away from the commotion of Times Square, yet within walking distance to Publix. Based on all of the above, we look forward to our second visit next year and those long reflective beach walks, magnificent sunsets and soothing calm of the waves.

Room Tip: Pack lightly and save on checked baggage fees thanks to washer and dryer in unit. Tread lightly on s...

“Great Place, Great Views”

We spent a week at the Cornerstone Beach Resort and had a great vacation.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit. The unit was very clean, bright and nicely decorated.
There was a lot of room for our 19 month old son to play, and he adapted well to his new surroundings. The rooms were quiet and sound proof -we didn't here anyone.
Thanks to Lori for arranging a Pack N'Play in our unit, as well as the added touch of water toys for our son.
Great touch having a "start-off package" available for use (ex. dish detergent/dishwasher soap, shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper, papertowels).
Our son had the best week's sleep ever.
The beach view from our lanai was fantastic.
We enjoyed the heated pool, and the close proximity to the beach. It was a nice touch to have beach chairs, an umbrella, pool towels and sand toys for our use as well.
We shopped close by at Publix for breakfast/lunch foods and the odd dinner. We also ventured out to Franceso's Deli, Nervous Nellie's, Parrot Key, Heavenly Biscuit and Bayside Bistro.
Also met some nice visitors and owners of the units. We can't say enough good things about the Cornerstone -we had a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: All units have beach view -only 12 units in the building. Off season, the 2 bedroom unit was an extr...

“Outstanding Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2011

We recently visited FMB for 7 nights. We arrived on Saturday to our condo, but had to back track a mile to leasing office (not a big deal because I never asked where to check in at). We were given our keys and the policy sheet and the check in process took all of 20 seconds. When we got settled in the condo we did a walk through and it was amazing. The best place we've ever stayed on the island! The whole condo was clean and very inviting. The beds were amazing and the views from each bedroom were spectacular (the master overlooked the gulf and the guest bedroom overlooked the bay). There was plenty of drawer space and closet space to really make this place feel like home for a week. The bathroom was spacious and all linens were provided (even beach towels under the sink!)The living room/kitchen area had a floor to ceiling view of the gulf, which opened up onto a screened in porch with a table and 6 chairs. It was very clean and had everything one would need to cook for a week. Since we were vacationing, there was no cooking to be done, but all of the utensils, plates and cookware was in excellent condition and would be very nice should you choose to use them. There is also a washer/dryer in the unit, which was awesome! We were also provided with 4 beach chairs, an umbrella and a stake to put your umbrella into the sand. We used those every day of our stay it was so nice not to have to rent items like that. We did see dolphins 1 morning of our stay and the sunsets were amazing! You wouldn't every have to leave to have a gorgeous view!

The condo is located about 3-4 miles down from the pier and is just far enough away to be away from the noise and crowds, but close enough that you could be anywhere in just a couple of minutes. There were only about 3 or 4 other couples staying in other units and all were very friendly and polite. There is a pool that is large enough to accomodate everyone and several beach chairs and tables around. There is a private entrance from the beach to the pool area, so you can take a dip after being in the ocean all day.

A couple things to take note of: you will need your room key to access the elevator. This did come in handy because we could leave our beach stuff out in front so we did not track sand in with us, and we knew that it would be safe. Right around the entrance to the beach we noticed several thorny bushes and stepped on a couple that had gotten loose in the sand, so make sure to wear water shoes or sandals.

I have no complaints for this condo and will recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. We will be staying here for every vacation in the future. My only one complaint is that we had to leave so soon!
