We just returned from a two week stay, and were sad to leave. We have been going to the Manatee
Bay for 7 years, twice a year. That should say it all. We love the place, clean, fantastic view of the lagoon, like your own little paradise. Connie is great, friendly makes you feel at home. Highly recommend staying at the Manatee Bay Inn.

Sadly we only stayed here for one night and secured a good walk in rate.
'connie' the lady that owns the guest house was so nice and welcoming and made sure we had everything that we needed.
It was a joy to be able to sit out overlooking the bay and take in the lovely view.
Breakfast was basic but that didn't bother us.
We hope to return in the future.

You couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The room was clean, modern, functional and had everything you need or could ask for. The bathroom did not have to be shared like many B&B's and the inn was within walking distance of town, nightlife and the trolly. The host's Axel & Connie were very helpful and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful experience and we will return when we can.

In our second trip to the Inn we brought my sister-in-law who had never seen a palm tree! Last year we stayed at the "cottage" across the street and were greeted with a view of the large wall of the marina building. This year we were on the first floor by the pool. What a great and private view all week long. We enjoyed the pool or sitting by the little bay that is full of fish (and sometimes manatees and dolphins). I would rather not brag about this place since I really think this place is a gem that I would rather enjoy when I want to go to Florida, but it's too great to keep a secret.

While you will hear a bit of noise from the SOB bar, you won't hear much more other than your air conditioner and the palm trees swaying outside. The beach, Yucatan Beach Stand (and other bar/restaurants), and plenty of gift shops are a quick walk away (save money on parking or even driving by getting a cab from the Fort Myers airport). Sanibel/Captiva Island, Lover's Key, Naples are just short drives away from this location. We loaded up our refrigerator upon arrival to save money on dining out as well as each room has a microwave, stove, and basic utensils. My wife and sister-in-law benefitted from the hair dryer that the room had as well.
