We really enjoy staying at the Lighthouse.Have stayed there several times. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Couple of times we did not rent a car. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.Rooms could use some updating but were clean and sufficient.Pools have alittle too much shade.Trees could be trimmed back to allow more sun.

This hotel is very interesting! It has a very good location. We stayed here after a game and basically parked our car and walked everywhere.
Our room, a 1 bedroom suite which overlooked a pool by a tiki bar was very outdated. The 1st night I woke to a large welt on my arm, which I believed was caused by a siper bite. The next night, our toilet clogged and we waited around all night to get it serviced. Finally one of the bartenders left, drove home and came back with her own plunger and plunge our toilet and left to get back to working at the bar! Not sure what we would have done without her help. The office was closed and the security guard couldn't help.
If you are looking for a fun hotel with no frills, this is for you.The Tiki Bar is great and the hotel is walking distance to everything.
But if you are looking for a quiet, pampered type getaway then count this place out.
Would I be back again...ummm maybe?

Great time and would stay again. Staff are helpful and considerate. Only need would be to add railings to handicap rooms.

The resort has many great features - two nice pools and a great tiki bar. But the room we had was terrible. It was way too small for the two double beds in it. There was not place to put our suitcases. And the bathroom was appalling. The vanity was falling apart and the toilet old. Shower was great tho - lots of water!
The carpet was funky and felt wet. And it was noisy - there was some sort of machine outside our window - probably an air-conditioning exchanger or something. Or maybe they didn't turn off the waterfall over the pool
However, the outside of this resort is charming. And the approach to our room was charming. . . up some stairs to a small deck with double doors into our room.
If you need a resort experience this might fill the bill - swimming and partying. But if you are just staying overnight, you will do better with another motel.
One good feature is the location - walking to the beach and to shops and restaurants. We ended up just sleeping there - and that was a waste of the resort offerings.
