“Family friendy - great price”

My family of three stayed at La Quinta for 3 nights and were very pleased. The price we paid was fantastic and we were walking distance or a 5 mins. drive to shops, grocery store, restaurants and a 15 mins drive to Fort Myers Beach. Sanibel Island is only 7 mins. drive away. The facilities on the property are great (gym, laundry on 3rd floor, pool, hot tub). We stayed in a king with sofabed and found the room spacious, clean, and inc. fridge, m/wave, coffeemaker, iron & board, LCD TV, A/C. The bathroom was large with marble counter. Lots of hot water.

The pool is heated and great for laps or just lounge in the hot tub! Breakfast is included: it's okay, the usual (toast, bagels, cereal, waffles, yogurt, juice, coffee/tea) but they did run out of cereal on the Tuesday morning and I wasn't impressed. Also, breakfast ends at 9am and they mean it! Only one complaint: when we arrived our room was very clean, but as our stay progressed, the cleaning was not done well (not vacuumed or wiped down). So, I called the front desk and they had someone redo the room but it still wasn't done properly. So, if you're staying more than one night, be vigilant. We stayed at the back of the hotel to ensure it was quiet and we were very happy. Overall - the rate was fantastic, the location was ideal and the facilities were great.

“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Everything has worked perfect during my stay at La Quinta.
The fitness center, front desk staff (very courteous), breakfast and the room.
I've stayed in front of the pool, even though I had no problem at all.
Great place to say in Fort Myers area.

Room Tip: The outlet nearby is really good.

“Delivers as expected”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

We stayed on a Saturday night to go to the Ft. Myers renaissance festival on Sunday. The room was just as expected - very clean, modern decor. The staff was very friendly and called a few minutes after check in to confirm everything was good with the room. We stayed on the second floor room 215. The only downside, which we found Sunday morning, was the shower. The water pressure for the hot water was very poor, and it was very difficult to get a water temperature comfortable to shower in (hair trigger, so to speak, between cold and burning hot). The water pressure may have been a function of staying on the second floor, if we stayed in this location again I would try the 1st or 3rd floor. Sunday morning we opted to go to a restaurant, but the continental breakfast seemed adequate. Main choices were stations for making fresh waffles, hard boiled eggs, basic bagels/toast/etc, standard beverage choices. We agreed that if we were short on time or money we could have eaten there without difficulty. Overall, would stay again, we would just ask to be on a floor with better water pressure.

Room Tip: Ask to be on the floor with the best water pressure in the showers.

“Another fine La Quinta hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

We enjoyed staying at the La Quinta in Ft. Myers. It's located away from the city in a quiet area, with a market and outlet mall just a couple of blocks away. Sanibel Island is just down the road a bit. The building is typical La Quinta, with the structure and grounds well maintained. The pool is larger than most, along with a hottub and beautifully manicured bushes and trees. The room was a decent size and the bathroom was larger than most. As always, we look forward to the waffles featured in La Quinta's Bright Side breakfast-the ones here are little round ones. All in all, a nice, clean place to lay your head!

“Very Nice Price for Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

We stayed in joined king bed rooms in the back section of the building (rooms 145+147). They were really nice!! spacious bathroom and shower, nice HDTV, free wireless internet (thats actually a decent speed), comfy bed, nice lighting, no stains or smell, no bugs, a comfy couch, and a nice desk area to work.

the breakfast was exceptional and the pool is heated and beautiful. The front desk attendants were very pleasant to talk to. I will stay here again when I come back to florida in March

Room Tip: stay in the king suites on the backside of the hotel
