We stayed here in 2009, shortly after they opened and had a wonderful stay. We decided to stay here again a few weeks ago, since Courtyards are usually a good bet. Check-in was a breeze, the room was great, but breakfast was a D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R. I wish we had not booked the breakfast included with the room. The dining area was extremely understaffed. There was a long line waiting to get into the dining area. There was one young woman who was hostess, waitress, cleaning the tables and more. She worked so hard, but was doing the job of three people. I went to the buffet twice and there was no bread, bagels, eggs... Normally, the food is replenished quickly, but not here. I asked for bagels, and they brought out frozen bagels. They can't handle large crowds here, and were unprepared.
We'll stay at a Hilton hotel next time, and we are Marriott Rewards members.

I want to first thank you for staying with us at the Courtyard by Marriott Gulf Coast Town Center in Ft Myers and appreciate your business very much. I am glad you had a great stay but I want to sincerely apologize about your experience in the restaurant. I can assure you it is not typical as the restaurant team is in the top 5 % off all Courtyards. We greatly appreciate your feedback which provided us valuable information to staff even more associates when we have large groups in the hotel. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you will give us another try the next time you are in Ft Myers so that you may have a wonderful breakfast which you expect and deserve at a Marriott Hotel.
