What a pleasant surprise. We had rented a room for the night and were upgraded to a cabin, located on a pretty man made lake with a spraying fountain in the middle. The cabin had a kitchenette, sitting and bedroom, and bath. There was sliding doors from the bedroom to a patio facing the lake. Very clean and convenient. Sorry we didn't have more time to spend there. Had one minor problem which was immediately corrected. Great price with a great view.

Beautiful Lake with fountains, like a throw back to the 50's. Very retro, clean and peaceful, great for a retreat. Good price and close to historic downtown with scads of restaurants, shops and galleries to enjoy! This was our second time and we'll be back!

Late night, driving alone, no idea where I was, and mapped local hotels. This place had 5 stars so I called to check pricing. Pleasant surprise with the price so I thought I'd check it out. I loved it! Wish I had more time but was just passing through on my way to Homestead for the race. It is such a cute place, quiet even though it is centrally located. Stayed in one of the cabins, relaxed on the porch before bed listening to the fountains. Would recommend it to anyone. Clean, cute, quiet and reasonable!!

We traveled cross state to attend an Oktoberfest in Cape Coral and decided to stay at the Rock Lake Resort. We drove past it a few years ago and earmarked it as a place we would like to stay at in the future. (We like staying at historic/nostalgic/funky establishments.) This "motor court" has duplex cottages constructed of native stone built in 1946 that surround a circular lake. There are nine cottages and 18 rooms. It makes for a very quaint atmosphere. We stayed in Cottage #2. Very clean. New kitchen cabinets and Corian countertops. A new bathroom. A small private porch area overlooking the lake. They also have a pool. A very good value for $70.

When I tried to call them to make a resevation they must have been busy as they did not answer the phone. But ten minutes later Heather called me back, (the joy of caller ID), and I made our reservation. Would a big chain give you that service? We will return.
