“Just passing by.”

My wife and I were on our way from Orlando down to Key West, but made a stopover in Fort Myers to check out the Sox Spring Training one Sunday afternoon. We were too tired to continue driving hence we decided to stay overnight. We searched from one hotel to another until we decided on this one. We got a room on the second floor right above the Front Desk Office. The lady who was working at the Front Desk at the time was kind and fair enough. The room was average at best. It had all the basic stuff you would expect from a roadside chain motel, nothing more, nothing less. Free coffee and light breakfast to get us started the next day. If you happen to be passing by the area and need an overnight stay, I would recommend this motel. But just for one night only.

“Grand!”

Didn't find this motel too bad at all. Located off a very busy road, but there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity.

The room was clean and had fridge and microwave. There is complimentary breakfast, but we didn't experience it.

Good accommodation for the rate charged - and most important - very clean.

“Never stay here, no matter what”

First, got a $60 govt rate and for that I had to take a smoking room. Second, at check on 6/11/06, the clerk quoted me $70/night because of 2 people. My son is only 15 and they aren't supposed to charge. I had to show the clerk my copy of the online reservation, then he had to call someone else and confirm the 60/night. I did ask for non-smoking and the clerk said there was none but the rooms had been "renovated, so it shouldn't be bad". Wrong! The room was so bad smelling I had to get Febreeze, but that did no good. The continental breakfast is a joke. Weak coffee, a few bagels and mini muffins. Then when I took the 1st shower in the AM the tub backed up and I told the front desk right away. Woman said she would tell maintenance man. When we got back to the room laetr in the day it was still not fixed. Went down to the front desk, informed the man and he said he would come with a plunger. He never showed up so my son had to stand in the soapy water during the shower. Left a day early for another hotel. Stains on chairs and burns on bed spread. There are many other hotels in the Ft Myers area that are more inviting.

“Don't stay here!!”

I booked this on line and have stayed at Econo Lodges before so I figured this would be ok. To begin with I booked on line and used a credit card. When I arrived he had no record of me reserving a room. It took about a half hour to check in because he has no computer and had to do everything by hand. The "lobby" is about the size of a bathroom and there was one tiny table with 2 chairs and this was where the "continental breakfast" was going to be. No thanks. THe room I had was right next to the highway and very loud traffic. I could hear people outside talking right thru the walls. I didnt feel safe. All the lamps in the room were rickety and the shades were falling off. Both beds had stains on the mattresses which i could see since they didnt even use fitted sheets. Only two threadbare flat sheets. The bed quilts were really old and smelled. There were two blankets in a drawer (which I needed since it got down to 30 and the heat didt work) and they were even yucky looking. At 6am I called the Howard Johnsons across the street and moved. It took over a half hour to check out also. SO I hardly slept and I was cold. The worst part was I was barefoot in the room and my feet got filthy from the carpet. GROSS!!!

“Very Disappointed”

We recently spent a night at this hotel. A reservation was made about 2 months in advance and was even guarantted using our credit card. It seemed inexpensive and they evenb sent out a letter confirming what we had reuested in our reservation. We arrived around 5:30 on the date of check-in and found that it was sold out. We still had a room, but although we requested a "NonSmoking" room, they gave us a smoking room. It reaked!! They said they would come spray Febreeze and we dont know if they ever did, but the room felt like we were in a big cloud of smoke. Moreover, the facility itself seems like it should be renovated. the sides of the matresses on both beds had stains. We really didnt feel it was very clean and after a very miserable night, checked out at 6AM. We just couldnt stand it any longer. The staff was very courteous, but gave us the deer in the headlight look when we told them of our dissatisfaction.
We would not recommend this hotel.
