When I arrived at the hotel I noticed a movie theater down the street. At check-in I asked if they had a list of the movies playing at the nearby theater. The desk clerk, (black woman with a name that begins with Z) was happy to print a list of movies and times from the internet. When she gave me the list she explained that the hotel shuttle would be happy to drive me to the theater for free. About an hour later I took the shuttle to the theater; the driver gave me a card with the hotel's phone number to call when I was ready to return. I called at 9:45 PM and the woman who answered said the shuttle would pick me up in 10 minutes. After waiting for 12 minutes, I called the hotel to ask about the shuttle's status. Jasmine answered and said the shuttle driver waited but did not see me. I told her that I didn't leave the front of the theater. Jasmine said she would send the shuttle right over. I waited for another 10 minutes and called again. Jasmine asked for my cell phone number and said she would check and call me right back. Two minutes later Jasmine called to tell me she was on her way to pick me up in her personal car (which she described for me). She arrived in less than 3 minutes and drove me back to the hotel. I thanked her profusely and said it was the best personal service I've ever received. Later, back in my hotel room, I found a note had been slipped under my door. It was from Jasmine: a note of appology for my long wait at the theater, and a certificate for free breakfast in the hotel restaurant the next day. That is personal attention and service far above and beyond expectations!
