This is one of the most booked hotels in Fort Lauderdale, and Marriott must be raking in the big bucks for it. If you're traveling in business and you can get the company to pay, that's fine, but there are definitely other hotels on the beach, near by, that are cheaper and just as nice.

We aren't letting the hotel's bad management of the valet parking ruin our wonderful dinner at 3030 but one person at the valet??? Even with the discount for the restaurant the valet was still 5$. The ten minutes that we were waiting, there were 3 people waiting for their cars from the valet - that $15 for 10 minutes (60$ a hour at that pace) - surely they can have 2 people staffing the parking valet booth. Next time we are going to spend the time to find self-parking.

... $6.00 for a bottle of water... ??? really? Dinner at 3030 was small overcooked piece of fish, with undersdone beans & greens. bland house salad. Spa treatments are nice, but no place inside to sit and relax except dull room with plastic black chairs. Parking is horrible. Valet $30 a day.. a must. Better places in town. Location is all they have.

My family checked into the Harbor Beach for a few days before going on a cruise. They had a great pool that the kids loved. Good bar service that served lunch and cocktails poolside. Our family ate at the more casual restaurant, good food but the service was a little slow. Not a huge deal we were on vacation. The location of the hotel was great right on the beach. We rented lounger chairs and let the kids play in the water. We also rented jet ski's right on the property. Something else fantastic was that the sea turtles lay their eggs right on the beach in front of the hotel. The hotel tapes off areas that have nests. My kids found that great. My only complaints are pretty minor. There always seemed to be a ton of people in the front lobby area. I know its a hotel but I am talking a ton of people just sitting with and without luggage I never understood what they all were doing there. Also the elevators were very slow and stopped at every floor. Just a tad annoying but once again we were on a family vacation we were in no hurry. The rooms were good nothing spectacular but nice and clean and very functional. Overall I would definatley stay at this place again.
