This Courtyard has been the only location I stay at while on business trips to the Ft. Lauderdale area. While the staff at check in is excellent and will do their very best to accomodate my request and the rooms are clean and comfortable, my favorite thing at the Courtyard is the breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, Marroitt Corporate Headquarters has determined that they "have a better idea". However, the "glorified Starbucks" being installed in all the Courtyard propertys is not it. Therefore, I am being forced to seek other hotel accomodations throughout by business travel area, which is the entire Southeast and Southwest. Good bye Marroitt Courtyards it has been a great and wonderful run the past 12 years.

The hotel staff is delightful at this hotel. The hotel is not the most quiet place--doors slam loudly and noise can be heard between rooms. The breakfast is good. The pool area is right on a major 4-lane highway, so it is very loud. This is hotel is fine for a quick business trip--I would not recommend it for a vacation.

Used our points for free room, so can't comment on value for money since we never asked what the rate was.

Nice clean big room with very comfortable beds. Nice pool area. Very accommodating - allowed us to check in at 9:30 AM (we had just gotten off a cruise and expected to ask to leave our luggage there until check in in the afternoon, but they gave us an available room).

Didn't like the lack of free breakfast (they have a full buffet for $9.99).

I was confused with my Marriott Rewards Points and my Visa Rewards Points, and the front desk and manager were so courteous and helpful in my reservations. I always stay here when I'm in the area, and I have always been very pleased. I use to work at this location when it was a Howard Johnson's in 1973, and I like staying here because I know my way around, and the staff are great, and even though the hotel could use a little upgrading, it is always very clean.
