We stayed at your hotel on Jan. 20, 2012 for one night before our cruise. Check in was very easy and the young lady who helped us, I believe her name was Justine, was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms and it was clean and neat. The pool area was quiet and relaxing. There was an Outback Steakhouse close by to eat dinner. The only negative was I thought I was getting a AARP discount but I didn,t. Would stay again.

You pay more for the location of this hotel (closer to the cruise ships, etc), but it's still a few blocks west of the bigger chains (eg Embassy Suites). We didn't have a car, but it is close enough to many restaurants, liquor stores, drug stores, that you might need before going on a cruise ship. Free shuttle from airport (don't do like us and jump in the Comfort Inn van, you'll end up at the wrong hotel and have to find your own transportation to the Comfort Suites). Very cheap shuttle to cruise ships.

Room is large suite, but not anything fancy. We could hear traffic and trains through the night, not too loud, but noticeable. Free self serve breakfast.

We only picked this because we had some time to spend late afternoon and evening.

I gave this hotel a three because we booked it thru stay123.com so our rate included parking while we were on a ten day cruise. We paid about $170 in total and parking alone at the cruiseport would have been at least $120. The parking lot wasn't full and we were told we could park anywhere so we parked right next to the building and felt safe leaving our car there. There was even an overhang you could park under if you wanted for protection from the elements. If you have an expensive thief magnet type of car be aware that the parking lot is totally open and probably has very little security features but there is a lot of customer traffic and it seemed pretty safe. We did have to pay for the shuttle to and from the cruiseport which is not true at some other sites but the Alianza shuttle was very prompt and helpful. We disembarked from our ship at 7:20 am, went thru customs, called the shuttle, was picked up and dropped at the hotel, repacked our car, fetched ice and coffee and were on the road home by 8:00am. You can't do it much faster than that. As for the actual hotel stay it was just okay. The hotel is very old and in need of remodeling. Their "queen" size beds are smaller than any queen size I've ever seen but there was a refrigerator and overall the room was pretty clean. We didn't experience any noise problems. We weren't on the street side so don't know if that would have been noisy as Federal Highway is very busy. It is a very dark and dingy hotel so I wouldn't want to stay there long but for one night before a cruise and for the money with parking included it was fine.

Wish I had consulted tripadvisor before booking this very old, rundown Comfort Suites. Relied on Comfort Suites that I've stayed at in the past and that was a mistake. This hotel is nowhere near the standards of other Comfort Suites I've stayed at. Some lowlights...no refrigerator in room, old CRT TV with very poor reception, elevators were filthy, purple and green walls and carpeting out of the '70s, queen bed was not a queen, room was small and musty...need I say more. Do not believe the staff. This place is not being renovated, it's just in poor condition period.
