Bookit.com advertised this hotel as 3 1/2 stars. It's more like 2 stars or less! The pool, hot tub, and tiki bar were nice, and beach access was great too. Rooms were small, beds were extremely uncomfortable - mine was very saggy, and the hotel overall is in need of updating and repairs. And by repairs - I mean replacing broken tiles, not just grouting over the cracks - lots of things like that. Staff lacks any enthusiasm - just going through the motions. Check in was fast - but we were first put in a room with no AC. Called down and front desk didn't believe me, and had to convince them to move us to a room with functioning AC! At the restaurant, service was OK, as was the food. However - be careful if you order brand name liquor. I asked for a pina colada made with Malibu rum, and got one made with house rum. A very definite difference. I didn't complain - until I got the bill, and was charged $7.50 for the drink and another $2.00 for the Malibu that I DIDN'T GET! Server just shrugged and I ended up paying for it anyway. Housekeeping was OK - but nothing special. Did the bare minimum of cleaning each day. At check in we were told VALET PARKIKNG was $10 per day. We found non-valet parking across the street and presumed it was free. AFTER we checked out, the valet chased us across the street and demanded that we pay $34 for parking!!!!! I wasted another 15 min with him and the vapid desk clerk, who insisted I owed the $34. I refused to pay, as no one ever said the non-valet parking was the same price as the valet parking. Ummmm..... I would have used the valet if it was the same price!!!!!! And really -- AFTER checking out, I was literally followed across the street by Mauricio, demanding another $34?? This hotel was not worth what I paid to begin with, and demanding more $$ for off site parking was just ridiculous. The hotel location is also not ideal - I prefer to be further south, and wound up driving quite a bit to get to the main "strip". Overall, a disappointing stay at what was advertised as a 3.5 star hotel. Not even close in my opinion. If you go there expecting something similar to a Days Inn - with a better pool and hot tub, you won't be disappointed. But if you were thinking Radisson, or DoubleTree -- steer clear. It's not anywhere near that level, though it is priced as if it were.
Room Tip: Stay somewhere else - closer to the "strip" on the south end of A1A.
