We have been visiting Florida for the past 24 years ever since my wife returned home from Florida to live in the UK. I have to say that for value for money,cleanliness, location and most of all attentive and caring proprietors, this motel will take some beating and I would recommend that you browse the web site and give them a try.

I'm a travel agent so can be critical but if you are wanting a good old fashion comfortable laid back way of vacationing you got to stay here. We felt like part of the family. Angela the owner was on hand to recommend shops restaurants bus routes you name it and the rooms were so clean and very comfortable. i have to say i was a little wary of the two door entrances in the apartment. one in the kitchen and one in the living room but that soon disappeared. there's no ironing facilities or safety deposit boxes in the rooms but something makes me think that Angela would definately have sorted this had we asked.Many nights i was tortured by the wonderful smell of the BBQ in the BBQ areas. 15 minutes from Galeria Mall and 5 minutes from that gorgeous beach . Quiet and extremely welcoming by both staff and guests

We stayed just one night, because we extended our trip by one day but couldn't extend the booking of the resort we were staying initially.

The resort consisted of a decent number of rooms, has 3 pools and a BBQ area. The appartement was pretty large, had a tv room, a small kitchen and a separate bedroom. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. The resort looks as if one could easily stay there comfortably for some time, and the price was reasonable.

Given the choice between Summerland and the close-by Cocobelle we would still choose the Cocobelle -- the staff made us more welcome, the pool was cleaner and the decoration of the rooms and the plants around the pool made it a little nicer. However, you probably won't regret choosing Summerland, especially if you prefer to have a separate sleeping room.

We visited Ft. Lauderdale in September and this hotel is the best choice if you want to stay near the beach. The staff is friendly and helpfull. The rooms are nice and spacious. We will come back.
