Please, Please never stay at this place. It was the worst experience myself and my family have ever had traveling. We travel ALOT too. I found this hotel on the Fort Lauderdale Visitors Bureau website and I spoke to the gentleman running it. It just sounded small and reasonablly priced so I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. When we got there it was quite run down, but none the less I checked in because I was stuck -it was New Years eve in Fort Lauderdale ( I didn't think it could be all that bad). The manager evidently charged the entire stay on my credit card right away. The rooms were FILTHY and I mean completely dirty and unsanitary (it was so bad I can't say it online). I called the manager and he said that the maid had left early. So I took the dirty sheets off the beds took them to a laundrymat and got to work sanitizing both rooms. The nightmare got worse, only to mention a few problems; the drains didn't work at all and the water ran loudly constantly, the windows had bullet holes in them, the outside doors didn't shut, and there was screaming and pounding etc all night. Fortunately we had friends elsewhere and we stayed out late with them. In the morning I tried to call the manager(the desk was always unmaned) he didn't answer. I went across the street to a Best Western and they took pitty on my story and rented me 2 rooms for a good price. I left another message with the manager that I was moving my children to a safe hotel and he finally called back. He then told me he had charged the entire 3 nights already and refused to refund my money for the remaining 2 nights. I could not stay at that horrible place so I paid twice for that little vacation. I will never make that mistake again, but I don't want anyone else to have to pay for a hotel that is virtually uninhabital.
