“Second visit did not disappoint!”

My husband and I stayed at Cocobelle Resort last year before a cruise for a few days. We liked it so much we decided to come back again this year. This property is immaculate! The owners live on site and Ernest (owner) is constantly working away at the property which is evident by the beautiful tropical garden that surrounds this place and cuts you off from the world. It is beautifully lit up at night as well. The front gates are locked at night for security (but you have a key for access in and out as you please). This is a quiet 16 unit motel located within minutes of shopping and the main drag. If you are looking to party move on because this place is for peace and quiet and relaxation. Ernest provides beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and even toys for the beach if you have kids. There is free use of the washer and dryer for laundry as well. There is no food available here, but 5 minutes up the road has convenience stores, liqour stores, souvenir shops and restaurants. Our room is huge with a kitchenette. Last year I posted that there was not a stove...but I was wrong...I had decided to disregard the stove (did not want to cook!). I do reccomend a car as you have much more freedom to roam where you wish....but we stayed here last year without a car and managed just fine. The price is reasonable and I think Cocobelle Resort ROCKS! Thanks again Ernest and Dorothea!

Room Tip: For lengthy stay I suggest Room 6 main floor with king sized bed and a twin in a good size room. If...

“An enjoyable resort”

My husband and I stayed at Cocobelle this past week for 6 nights. We had room 11 which is a 1 bedroom with pool view. I found the negative reviews completely unfounded and had a lovely experience. The resort is not large which means it was never crowded and always peaceful. Ernst checked us in at 11:30am, gave us our towels and told us about the area. He was very nice and accommodating. The room was the big surprise. It was filled with modern furniture, a great kitchen with everything we needed for cooking meals and plenty of space for the two of us. Housekeeping came every other day to dump the garbage cans and give us fresh bathroom and kitchen towels. The pool was great and looked beautiful at night. As for location maybe it's because I'm from NYC but I found so much within walking distance. It was only a few blocks (5 mins) to the beach and maybe 10mins or so to a restaurant or bar. As for the neighborhood anyone who says it's shady is being unfair. The area is filled with motels so there are always people walking around. We walked at all times of the day and night and never felt unsafe. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

“Fair location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

We spent one night at the Cocobelle prior to our cruise that departed from Ft. Lauderdale. We selected Cocobelle because of their most reasonable price. The room was decently clean and comfortable. We didn't have a car so we had to walk everywhere. Most restaurants and shops are a good 20 minute walk from the site. If you are looking for a bargain price on a decent place to stay, this is an acceptable place. I just wish the location was better.

“Wonderful little resort”

My husband and I stayed here this past week. We were in Fort Lauderdale for my son's college graduation. I searched for days to find an affordable place in the city for us to stay. I wanted at least a 1 bedroom suite that included a kitchen. We stayed in Rm 16 (a 1 bedroom suite). A double bed was in the living area for my father who also was with us.
I booked this resort based on the reviews on Trip Advisor. What a great find! It was so affordable. The room was very comfortable and felt more like a home than a sterile hotel room. The pictures on the website of room 16 are exactly what the room looks like.
The pool area is great and looks beautiful all lit up at night. You can tell the owners take great pride in their little resort. Upon entering the office, you are greeted within seconds. This happened every time we walked in. Whatever we needed- more towels, iron and ironing board, etc- was quickly and cheerfully provided.
We stayed for an entire week. My mom and sister came a few days after we arrived and stayed for 2 nights in room 4- a double room. What a lovely room. The bathroom was especially nice!
All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you want an affordable, quaint, clean, and quiet place to stay- the Cocobelle Resort is perfect!

Room Tip: You can view each room on the website. They are very accurate pictures of the rooms.
